That's not for spec ops. When you go for CSOR or JTF2 it's called selections.
I could go back to living without an instant pot and it wouldn't be terribly inconvenient. Living without a slow cooker would be a pain in the ass.
I use slow cooker for carnitas and stews and bone broth...very good tool
There's nothing a slow cooker does that a stove top doesn't, except that I can confidentally leave my slow cooker unattended.

I buy a lot of pork for carnitas...I cut it up a bit and cram it in the crock pot
I add onions and garlic and spices and some sauce...and then I realize it is too much for the crock pot
then I put it all into a big ass steel pot and just run it slow and low on stovetop
then I wash the crockpot and shake my head because I should have known it would not fit all that damn meeeeeaaaat
Pro tip: Don't cut up the pork. Season the outside of the shoulder and just dump the whole thing in.
I leave it in as big of pieces as possible...but sometimes I have to cut them a couple times to fit in the pot...our crock is ancient and not the largest
For sure I prefer meat cooked as intact as possible

If I ever get stimulated I will make that top priority

Pro tip? I bought my Crockpot at a garage sale for $10. Factory sealed with a mini Crockpot inside.
Didn't garage sale my pressure cooker but that's massive too, it would piss me off if I had to worry about how much I was sticking in there.
Mine's a 6 quart. If it's for Mrs Beard and I it's big enough, if we're having people over it gets a little tight depending on what I'm making. If I were going to do it again, I'd get the 8 quart.

I think someone asked him about it and he told them what happened and he posted pics of his experience and people then ran with the idea he was lying.
Which actually he was not.
Same with trains.That's how I imagine ship's control rooms look now. When I 1st started working at power plants, we had those same Star Trek looking control rooms. They look more like this now.
Nah he posted pictures on Facebook of him in training on veterans day in uniform. Lapped up all the applause, you know how he is. Forgot to mention to anyone that thanked him for his service that he diddnt serve. A true Walter mitty.

It wasn't convenience. He did it to lap up the attention, receive praise, and hope not to explain the finer details.

Oh he fucken did I had a nice argument with him about it. Claimed veteran too. He relented when half the ex military on the OG smacked his ass down.
When I saw the post, it had a picture(s) of him and it had the explanation of him washing out.
From that point on, people freaked out claiming he was saying he was a vet.
I never saw a claim where he said that.
The argument that really took off was "What makes someone a vet?"
Everyone had different opinions as to what stage qualified it.
It was quite a debacle.
Here's what Happened.

Og gets wind
Story unfolds that he diddnt ever make it into the army.
He argues for pages that he's a vet
After taking a battering from actual vets he feigns ignorance and claims he knew no better. Probably threw a couple more excuses in there
On the original post in another social media he put up the pics.
People asked him if he was a vet.
He explains he washed out.
OG gets a hold of it.
Sh*t show ensues about what qualifies as a vet.
PJ apologizes for posting the pics.
