Again I know fuck all, but you'd probably be better off with the modern version with a rail and an adjustable stock.

I think the newer ones have better effective range, use a more common round, are more accurate, somebody who knows what they are talking about help me here

I mean 7.62x39 is pretttttttty common and comes in a very wide variety of ammo.
But it's still a commie gun.

Could always go with the Murican version. An AR-15 chambered in 300 bo has basically the same ballistics as the 7.62x39 but suppresses way more gooder. Comes in a wide variety of ammo and the only difference between it and a "standard AR" is the barrel. Mags, BCG, all the same.
