Hi I'm that doctor. Hi I work in a tent. We are currently activated. Why am I still working my civilian job at the covid unit? Because it makes no sense to move me.

Where do you think those doctors come from?
2/3 of military medicine is in the reserve component.
Where do those doctors work normally? In civilian hospitals.

Where do the other one third work? At military hospitals.

That solution is a shell game. you can't pull your doctors from hospitals that have needs to put them in other hospitals that have needs.

Under your solution everyone has needs at the same time. That's the whole point. You don't have the resources to respond.
The solution is currently working and states are opening back up even though there is no cure and covid is still out there. Because as the article I posted from Pinnacle hospital on the previous page stated "the surge simply has not happened " and they aren't that concerned anymore.

And I believe the post you quoted was about running out of ventilators. Which is also not happening. But if it did we would find a solution. If it hits everywhere at the same time I guess we are fucked.
But as we can see w Sweden, that isn't happening. If the scared ppl were correct, Sweden would be a huge shit show of death . But.....

Do you not understand that the surge didn't happen because of social distancing and other measures taken? Or do you just ignore that? That was the whole point of all of this, to make sure a surge did not happen.

To be clear in some areas of the country that are meeting science-based metrics, like cases plateauings and declining consecutively, it makes a lot of sense to start removing restrictions on activities or populations that are low risk for the population and high gain for the activity.

Examples might be curbside business sales. For young people going back to work first.
Bad ideas would be an undifferentiated population on a beach all together lol Jacksonville.

This is pretty sad. Nj governor talking about how he doesn't really care about suspending the bill of rights over a fever and doesn't explain how he did it

Historically, lifting restrictions seems to be the difference between failure and success. Saved a lot of lives in '57-58 (saved 90%) but was pretty ineffective in 1918 due to lifting restrictions too early and having a second peak (saved 10%-30%).

I was trying to talk about my best friend attempting suicide. Her and this place are my support system. My bad I was pissed off. I figured he might draw the line at my friend attempting suicide and keep his mouth shut.
I screen shotted it. Figured he would delete it. You can see video in background
