did you serve in the military? I ask because it's generally only people who have never served or who have never lost someone in combat who talk about 'dying for freedom'.
My household is a result of this. I would rather husband and I not die though. That's hardly irrational. I know different parts of the country don't really feel as alarmed as others because they aren't affected or aren't at high risk.
