Can you walk me through your process using the mixer? Also the gears are designed to do that and I'm 99.99% sure they are readily available and fairly inexpensive.Finally getting around to using the starter that@ThatOneDude sent me. My fucking mixer took a shit on me. The gears are stripped, but I think I got it mixed enough. My stimulus money is going toward a new mixer.

Yep, I use the hook the hole time. It takes a few minutes for it to start to come together. I push the flour in from the sides at first. After a few minutes, it starts to knead well. It takes about 8-10 minutes. We use the hell out of our mixer. It might be cheaper to just replace ours if I need to replace a bunch of gears. Looks like a real pita too. When the mixer works, it’s awesome.
