It depends. "We over reacted." is going to swiftly gain traction and to be honest it's more than a little difficult to disprove the statement. Interestingly I'm seeing a lot of the same arguments used by both sides which I find fascinating.
It's easy to say we over reacted when the isolation clearly had an effect on the spread of the chinese death flu. The mental gymnastics they perform are amazing.
The problem is the suicide rate is going to exceed the Rona death rate. That's a hard justification to make. This isolation without cure is also going to likely result in a really bad 2nd wave and in turn another massive lockdown. There's not even an outside shot we're close to herd immunity.
Have self murders risen recently? I honestly don't pay attention to that sort of thing.

Ie, one of my coworker's has a wife who works a mental health hotline, in the last 2 weeks their call number has tripled and it's only trying to talk people out of suicides. There was also a dude on Rogan yesterday who knows someone in one of the SoCal sherriff departments, he was saying they've gone from 4-5 suicides per month to multiples per day.
