This makes a lot of bread, which is great if you want to gift some or freeze a bunch. If you dont have many mouths to feed you may want to halve the recipe.

Just had tuna with salt, pepper and malt vinegar. Might head to the store and get some bits for chilli.

This sounds like a Finnish version of a challah-type bread, which children of course love because it is sweet and totally delicious. I have been spoiled a bit recently (before the lockdown) because a family member got a job at a synagogue that kindly gives the staff free loaves of challah every week to bring home for shabbat, and actually gives out a different brand that is denser and sweeter for the children.

We were going to start making our own (my mother did it with me as a kid, but it's been a long time since we've done it ourselves).

I'm excited to try the pulla instead - maybe we can switch off with it if I can get it to come out good.

Thanks for sharing!

Fried chicken.

Looks good.

Again tho, this isn't me being a cunt, at least not intentionally. What's with the green shit? Are you gonna roll it up and eat it?

I don't eat it because I don't like the consistency when I bite it, same with apples.

I guess I'm trying to unastan why anyone bothers with it?

It's not food. It's what food eats.

Because my wife puts it there.

Chicken Tikka Masala from scratch
With a Texas naan...lol tortilla heated with garlic and pepper. Was too tired to make naan today.

Anyone like the recipe pics or final product is main interest?

Marinade your chicken.

1 Package of boneless skinless chicken breast Diced into bite size pieces.
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
2 teaspoons garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon of salt

You'll use the same spices later, keep them out.
mix it altogether and put it in the fridge for an hour

Heat up a stock pot with some oil and put the chicken in to brown it. I left too much yogurt on so maybe reduce the yogurt or use more chicken. Only got brown on one side so I could fix that next time.

Take the chicken out when its 50-75% done. You'll finish it later.

Saute a large onion diced.

Add these things to that Onion saute
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander

Keep sauteing until fragrant...about a minute.

Then pour in some pureed tomatoes. I used a combination of diced stew tomatoes and tomato sauce. About 12-16oz total.
Cook this down and keep it moving for 5-10 minutes to get it all soft and cooked together.

Look at that dark color its becoming. Like reddish brown. That's the goal.

Add the chicken back in and cook until done...about 5 minutes.
It will get lighter colored but my camera kind of changed the color here. It's not that yellow.

Pour in a cup of heavy cream and season with
1 tablespoon chili powder, cayenne to taste, salt to taste, teaspoon or two of brown sugar

After about another 5 mintues its done. Taste it and add cayenne and chili powder to your spice preference.

Serve with Naan (lol tortilla buttered and cooked) and garnish with cilantro...

Britain's favourite dish. I always order it or make it a bit spicier but my taste buds have changed a bit lately. Nicely done, it looks great.

Oh. Forgot. Because I don’t have any more Chinese sausage I added a bunch of stuff to some leftover roast chicken so not my normal recipe. Same as normal
But Shaoxing wine and I used sweetened black vinegar rather than normal

The politically correct term is Native American
Slightly off topic, but all this Navajo bitching in the news is pissing me off. I worked on the Navajo reservation for a year and a half and no one south of the mason dixon line is more prejudice than that tribe. Very mean people.

There's this red shit you can marinade the meat in first. They used to do in in the UK, sizzle and stir. 2 pots.

Sizzle the meat with the small pot. Then ass the meat. It was very good

Oh yeah for sure. I kicked this one up!

Thanks for the feedback. It take a little to organize and post all the pics and I like doing it if anyone is going to enjoy the process too. Just dind't want to do it if everyone is just skipping to the final product anyways.

Will update later. It's not too hard since its just working all the spices into a large mixture. Nice thing about curries!
