Yep, nailed it. That's exactly where I got it from."Donald Trump tells TMZ he is contacting the FBI to investigate threats just made by a man claiming to be the son of escaped Mexican drug lord El Chapo.
Trump is reacting to a tweet reportedly made by El Chapo's son, in which he blasts Trump for saying El Chapo is "everything that's wrong with Mexico."
The tweet was written in Spanish, with the rough English translation, "Keep f***ing around and I'm gonna make you swallow your bitch words you f***ing whitey milks***tter (that's a homophobic slur)."
Trump tells TMZ he's not backing down, saying, "I'm fighting for much more than myself. I'm fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals." He adds, "You can't be intimidated. It's too important."
We would be just fine without these quacks - it's the disinfectant manufacturers on the front lines getting us all the bleach that we need to protect ourselves that we should be thanking.@RaginCajun @Splinty I sincerely love that you go and do what you do for us. That and we must continue to pay tribute to our glorious, benevolent sun God who provides us with tremendous sunlight. Thank you, almighty Ra.
This is the guy that guests of Infowars wanted nothing to do with. Imagine that...someone who’s so stupid that the stupidest of the stupid don’t want anything to do with them? lolPretty sure his medical credentials are good.
How do you feel about any of his Corona info
@kneeblockIt pretty much is what it is.
All the way into this the governor has acquiesce to the mayors. Texas is afraid to get too strong from the governorship. We've got a history of limiting their power in response.
I expect the reopening plan to occur and to see urban centers run their own continued mitigation.
In a state that is so large and spans so many distinct geographic and regional centers from very rural to very urban, it makes sense to do a heterogeneous reopening.
If it looks like we're on track to reopen faster than everyone else or wisdom says we should, I will watch the details and expect to see something that essentially passes the buck to the urban center mayors and basically only reopens small rural areas that already have minimal traffic and inherent social distancing. Some of this will be for show.
If you're on the other hand I'm wrong and the mayor's follow along with the governor, which I don't expect, then it's true. We are woefully behind in testing and it's testing that lets you taper off your restrictions with data effectively. So we might be screwing it up big time
How do you feel about the plan to re-open.

Governor blessing off but without the testing apparatus. I've got no problem with the idea and in general Abbot has done a pretty good job on the way in and out. But there's a lot of buck passing. How do you feel about the plan to re-open.
Yea, I am still very surprised at how little testing is occurring. That's my big concern. We shall see how it goes though. My big issue is he says his order supersedes local orders, but then passed the buck as you say.Governor blessing off but without the testing apparatus. I've got no problem with the idea and in general Abbot has done a pretty good job on the way in and out. But there's a lot of buck passing.
Abbot locks it down but doesn't provide state resources for testing on the open up. Just sets metrics and gets out of the way. That leaves Mayors having to be the bad guys if shit goes wrong in Houston etc. Acting like this is just a Houston problem or Austin problem if shit goes wrong misses the nature of infectious disease.
There's also some politics in the medicine laws. Hospitals can reopen to do elective procedures with certain conditions, but one of them is that you can't ask the state for PPE if you do so. Again, that's passing the buck. The state should be supporting the reopening, not making hospitals (who are strapped for cash with no elective procedures) look to take that risk and if they get it wrong they can't ask for help. All the hospitals that aren't overworked with COVID patients are going to do that and then if they get it wrong the state will blame the hospital for not having enough PPE on hand for a public health crisis and their daily operations.
This is the nature of the Texas governorship so it's not a surprise. It's playing inside the politics of what we usually have done but its probably not as efficient or effective as we could be with a more coordinated effort.
