If guns are made illegal, and being found with one carries a heavy penalty, like in the UK, the amount of gun crime will drop. In the UK you get years and years of caught with a gun.

The only people who have them are the kind of people you see in guy Ritchie movies.

Well, and I'm gonna get one, legally, at a gun club when I go back. Ak47 and an m4.

I'm gonna paint it red and white
Being found with an illegal weapon SHOULD bring a harsh penalty, but criminals are typically given light sentences.

You cannot, for a second, compare a gun ban in the UK to Canada. We share a massive border with the US and most guns used in crime come from over the border.

In addition, legal gun owners in Canada are one of the most law abiding demographics in this country. Most guns used in crime are handguns which are already restricted and to legally own one there are a lot of hoops to jump through, and you can only transport it to your gun range or a gun smith. This is not stopping criminals from getting them from over the border and commiting murder (which is also illegal).

And back to your contention about reducing shootings, it certainly didn't to anything to slow down your murder rate did it?

I'm pretty sure it would be higher of guns were readily available.

Look up the last time someone shot 20 people in a mass shooting in the UK. I'll wait right here

When's the last time someone shot 20 people in Canada? I'll wait.

While you're at it, can you tell me the last time 23 people were blown up at a concert in Canada? Once again, I'll wait.

Also, would you like to continue ignoring the VERY relevant fact that most guns involved in crime are coming from over the border with the US? I'll wait.

Build a fucken wall then. Not my fault you can't control your borders.

My opinion here is that the ban is a good one. Canadians don't need assault rifles.

When has prohibition ever worked?

I have a fuck ton of guns and am acquiring more, to include destructive devices, because my freedom allows me too. I have passed very strict background checks, as has my wife. In Texas you tend to get out of tickets and other small infractions when you have your carry permit because they know the rigorous check they do. Most gun owners are law abiding citizens. So much so that our demographic commits FAR less crime.

If anyone can give me a good explanation as to why they do, I'll listen.

Aside from "well we like guns" there's no fucken need whatsoever to have one. So quit crying and get over it.

Ya flappy headed Mary Queens.

There it is, he takes his ball and runs away like the little bitch he is when his arguments can't stand up to facts.

Btw, assault rifles haven't been legal in Canada for 3 decades. Those things you and your mouth breathing ilk call "assault rifles" are guns that no army on earth would use. They're just regular rifles dressed up in a scary black plastic stock (and are limited to 5 round magazine capacity in Canada, BTW).

Now go be a good boy on twitter before the police come arrest you for hurting someone's feelings.

And just like that's not your fault, it's not law abiding gun owners fault that deranged killers use various tools to kill people.

Blah blah. You like guns I get it.

How many times have you had to put down home Invaders and terrorists in Texas? Did it make the news?

Fun fact, more people are killed by other people's body parts than rifles and shotguns combined....

Once, had a guy casing our house 1 night when my wife was 9 months pregnant. Didn't shoot him but I'm pretty sure he shit his pants.

Then throw your guns in a volcano. What do you need them for?

Do you have a lifted truck?
I only use the crossbows for hogs in the neighborhood because I don't want to upset people with the loud noises.

Only a half inch in the front to bring it back to stockish height with my skids and sliders. I have upgraded suspension that rides much better than stock though.
