I went camping this weekend and 3 of the girls there were nurses.

I was shocked to hear their hospitals are forcing them to take alternating 2 week furloughs. Elective procedures were all cancelled and they spent 2 weeks prepping for the onslaught of Covid-19 patients that everyone said was coming.

It ended up being a big nothing-burger.
Now the hospital is empty other than ER calls, so they are sitting at home on their ass like the rest of the country.

This shit is so fucking stupid.

Anyone seen single toilet rolls for sale? A pretty posh store here are selling them for 99c a roll and you're only allowed 2 per person. Not saying good or bad either way, just wondered if it's happening everywhere else.

Lol. That's funny. Haven't seen it though. Our shelves are all pretty much back to normal here.

Now meat appears to be the thing everyone is stocking up on. People are so fucking dumb.

I thought we were all back to normal toilet paper wise too. Husband and I were all WTFIes, get with the programme. April wants its loo roll paranoia back.

Yeah, meat supplies is the next thing. Wish I knew how to hunt, but it would be useless because apart from the meat I have in there already I can't give up any much more space than for Haagen Dazs in my freezer.

Home hardware has a bin of single rolls for 1.79 each limit 10. Sounds not bad until you do the math. 17.90 for a 10 pack of TP is highway robbery.

Our local place has 4 stores within San Jose. Yes it's upmarket but they're all "care about the community" on Facebook and stuff. I go there mainly because I'm a beer snob and their fridges are full of local breweries which I like to support but come on.
$1.79 is ridiculous. Also, they went out to purposely buy single rolls to sell on because they're individually wrapped. It isn't like they split a 20 pack of Charmin.

No wonder there's no traffic out there.
