So me and my buddies are gonna live bet the NFL draft via that zoom channel.

$5 a pick per person.

4 guys participating. We will draw our names for order.

Example:

1st round, 1st pick...
Guy 1 announces who he thinks the Bengals will pick. Guy 2 says who he thinks will be selected, but he can't choose the same player as Guy 1. Guy 3 announces who he thinks the Bengals will pick, but he can't choose the same player as Guy 1 or Guy 2. You get the idea.

1st round, 2nd pick...
Guy 2 announces who he thinks will get selected. Then Guy 3, but he can't take Guy 2's pick. Then Guy 4, Then Guy 1.

Winner takes the pot. If nobody picks the actual player selected, pot stays.

Trades don't count. Once you announce the player, that's your guy even if a team moves up in the draft.
All selections must be made in 30 seconds each. Anyone caught peeking at their phone loses their pick (fucking twitter spoilers)

By mid round it should get pretty interesting.

It's been too long since I've been able to gamble on anything and this is all I got.

I'm a degenerate.
Good luck! Can’t believe I’m this excited to see the draft. I never watch it lol.

This is the first time I've ever paid so much attention to where a potential 6th round pick from Southwestnortherneastern State might land!!!

Just crown Ohio State now.

Of all seasons, this is probably the one year where games don't really need to be played.

I don’t know about winning the title (I’d pick Clemson) but they’re recruiting is off the charts for the 2021 class.

You obviously don't know what the fuck you are talking about.

I was balls deep when clarett played for them....the good lord only knows why I was lucky enough to watch them when I was in Baltimore as that season went on and I got to see them every other weekend on tv....
That is a college back and athlete type that amazed me. So cheated that didn’t continue....makes me angry (though I obviously don’t know the real story that went on behind closed doors) the guy didn’t play again in college......phenom imo....freshman who ran over and fukt people up while making game saving catches or runs....my pussy got wet watching him

Haven’t been able to let that go as far as a phenomenal player in my mind

Beyond that, I have no use for Osu, except for when you and mixalot used to rip each other, in an aloof way

Shit. Top 5-10 matchup in serious jeopardy.

"Oregon governor has announced that the Oregon Health Authority is advising against having any large gatherings through September. The governor, along with the Oregon Health Authority, is advising that any large gathering, at least through September, should be canceled or significantly modified. That would include Ohio State football’s trip to Eugene to face the Ducks on Sept. 12."

Unless this changes, drastic measures could include either playing the game w/out fans. Or, if the state of Ohio allows large gatherings, the schools could look at twitching locations, to have the game at OSU this year, and Oregon next.

The whole season could be fucked. I think there are several coaches who are saying they don't want their team to be there until all students can safely return. Given that some parts of the country are still going to be shut down while others are opened up, there will be some schools that will complain there is an unfair competitive advantage.

Ohio isn't afraid. If allowed to do so, we'll pack 125,000 drunken fans into that stadium.

According to Coronavirus Dashboard Ohio is currently 15th in the country in total confirmed cases. Michigan is 7th. If I counted correctly, there are 10 schools in the Big10 that are in the top 16 states in terms of confirmed cases. As much as I want to see football, I don't think it is gonna happen anytime soon. They aren't going to bring back the athletes until the schools are open for all students.

On a side note, Kentucky's numbers have somehow remained low. There is a one county in Indiana with more total cases than all of Kentucky. Not sure if it's because it's more rural or if they are doing something different than other states in close proximity, but good for them.

If we are 15th in the country for Covid cases then they need to open the country up now because there ain't fuckall going on down here in the southern part of the state. Hospitals are empty as shit.

Maybe Clevelend fucked up the numbers. Or Dayton.

This shit is already starting to have an effect on 2021 recruiting. It's "helping" certain schools, and hurting the momentum of others.

There are thoughts that some schools in talent-rich states are going to benefit, bc more kids are going to stay closer to home and/or aren't able to visit other campuses who are interested. And that states and schools with not much local or state talent are potentially going to adversely be affected starting w/ the 2021 class.

Yeah I could see this playing out to an extent. Kids will forget and it’ll pass but for a couple of cycles this will probably benefit some areas.

I am starting to think the start of college football (and college basketball) will be postponed to January.
