Yeah I was gonna say, how does it compare to the Departed?

Either way, after watching Donnie Brasco (Pacino and Depp), I really do look forward to seeing how Depp pulls off Bulger. Not expecting it to be Godfather level of amazing or anything, but I do hope it's at least half decent. Always like watching Boston based gangster films, due to my locale etc

Watched over the weekend with 12 yr old son, Japanese scifi movie, Returner, from 2002, stars Takashi Kaneshiro.

Future solder goes back to past to kill alien that is the cause of a future war... despite derivative-sounding plot, there were enough changes in it to make it different and enjoyable

We liked it for what it is, not low budget, not super high budget, good enough production values

I need to rewatch Departed to try to watch it and give it a fair shake ... first time, just felt like stereotypical Hollywood remake of foreign film, bigger budget, let's add more explosions, etc

Original was Hong Kong's Infernal Affairs 1. IA1 was infinitely superior IMO due to the cat and mouse games between the 2 main characters

Has anybody ever seen the movie 'IZO'? I saw it a few years ago and the whole thing is like a mushroom trip that ends up explaining the entire meaning of life by the end of it. Directed by Takashi Miike and even featuring the one and only Bob Sapp as well. Would recommend.

I also saw Chronicle lately because of a recommendation and was impressed by it. I had low expectations and it has it's flaws but you forgive a lot of them just because you have to appreciate them doing something a bit differently.

The Departed one of the most pointless, over rated, and laziest movies I've ever seen.

"Wow, this story is really deep. Where do I go from here?
Ah, fuck it, I'll just have them kill each other off. The End."

Just saw Steve Jobs last week. It's Sorkin firing on all cylinders and Fassbender was dope.

See it.

gonna check out

The Subjects: Eight strangers go into a locked room for clinical trials on a new drug that gives them superpowers.
Edit: sucked ass. B movie

Circle: In a massive, mysterious chamber, fifty strangers awaken to find themselves trapped with no memory of how they got there. Organized in an inward-facing circle and unable to move, they quickly learn that every two minutes, one of them must die... executed by a strange device in the center of the room.

Re-Kill: It's been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world's population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on.
Edit: Shot like a live action documentary. Sucks. 2 balls down.

Tales of Halloween: Ghosts, ghouls, monsters, and the devil delight in terrorizing unsuspecting residents of a suburban neighborhood on Halloween night

If you've seen them lemme know what to possibly skip
