Well that's not good

As part of the stimulus bill, Medicaid offers hospitals 20% more if they list cause of death as covid or covid related. The true death rate of covid patients is inflated nationwide, since they can simply list covid and get that stimulus money by saying covid-like symptoms, without testing necessary for verification of covid. Odd considering the flu, cold, pneumonia, and other conditions will give you the sniffles, a cough, or flu-like symptoms. I haven't seen statistics, but I'm guessing even though we had a really bad flu season, flu related deaths are way down.
In San Diego we have around 300 deaths listed as covid or covid related, however, we only have 6 people under 60 or 70 years old (forgot age, but it was one of the two, or in between the two) out of the total number who died directly from covid without pre-existing conditions.
Having said all that, covid still has a death rate of around .26% according to CDC of all those infected. I wouldn't want to be morbidly obese in these times, nor 80 years old, but I have zero concern with getting covid. On top of that, around 40% of deaths nationwide were deaths in nursing homes. Very dangerous for the elderly and regulations need to be put in place to keep them safe when in nursing homes, considering they are already compromised if they are there.
