So AOC is pumped China interfered in our election process?
It was actually a middle aged lady that had worked Mayor Pete's campaign... Then the kids caught it and started pushing it even more... Then they got the K-Pop crowd involved which is surprisingly involved in global issues.

3,494 new cases of Covid-19 in Florida reported today.

The bad news:

  • We will almost certainly pass 100,000 on Monday as we are currently at 97,291
  • The positive test rate of the latest reported results was 9.2%, almost double what it was 4 weeks ago when it was 5%
The good news:

  • Lowest number of daily new cases in 4 days lol
  • The positive test rate, while higher than a month ago, was still lower than it has been the past 3 days, when around 17-19% of tests were positive
  • The 9.2% positive is based on over 38,000 tests. Four weeks ago there were only 14,000 tests reported
  • I was tested in Miami yesterday. When my result comes back it will lower the positive test rate even more (inshallah)

rallys are not part of the "election process." they certainly affect the result, but they are not a prequisite

I can't believe trump is going to get housed by such a pathetic candidate in biden (a fellow rapist). that reflects how pathetic trump is

humankind is in a bad place

I will not be voting for Joe biden

This may be bullshit but if you look roughly at the trends on the surface it would appear to be moderately accurate. Blue got the shit out of the way fast before much was known and now the red team is coming back in the second half of the game. Blue is still way ahead though thanks to NY/NJ.

Suicides outnumber covid here and our economy is crushed and getting worse by the day

The amount of businesses going down here is insane and the evictions are just about to start taking place

I would much rather be somewhere that trump won right now...and I didn't vote for him

Every place has it's own situation but they are pretending they are NY here when we are not even close and have had very very few hospitalizations since lockdown

This State is just sinking farther into debt

I respect everyones opinion and this is mine

I cant imagine how usa recovers from this. I mean, its the strongest country in the world thanks to the greatest president of all times, but with so many states, people, mayors, governors who cant get on the same page, no way this is going to end soon. We were one of the first countries who closed everything, were forced to wear masks even outside, which is complete bullshit, etc. We are small country, so thats a huge advantage when it comes to this sort of thing. Our government tells us what to do otherwise we get fined if not worse. Its been almost two months now since someone mentioned covid19. We are back to normal as if nothing happened. It was no conspiracy, we took precautions and when it ended we went back to live our lives

Y'all haven't had shit out there so it's pretty wild that you're still shutdown more than my state. We're probably somewhere around 10x the amount of cases and almost the same 10x for deaths.

People shit on Northam all the time and I'm not a fan of him in general and he's definitely an establishment/center-left American Democrat (I'll throw that last part in so that Zeph @Zeph can't call out that there's no real left in the US) but he's done a solid job overall. He shut things down in stages but fairly aggressively and has reopened things about the same. Restaurants can be open and serve people again. Big stores are open. Public areas are open. So we'll see if there's a spike but I'm seeing a high % of people that are wearing masks when in crowded areas so that's comforting. Reduces some risk.

Now to my south in the redder NC and SC they're just now getting their numbers increasing and they had hardly shut down before. I think the states that had some outbreaks but weren't aggressive at all are really going to be fucking themselves over as they'll have to deal with this in an active sense much longer than they should. States like yours are just being retarded though if they're still locked down to extremes for no apparent reason.

*Side note - Feel free to insert your own joke here about me killing myself if I had to live in the Pacific NW regardless of Rona.

Portland is it's own state inside Oregon...they run the state as far as laws

lots of the state doesn't like how they do it, but we don't have the population to do shit about it(PDX is 60% of the population of Oregon)...portland elects our representatives and leaders

The news here is ridiculous...everything is spun against old trump...Not a trump fan but he gets blamed for bee stings and stubbed toes in much of oregon

Feels very political and not about the people or public health at all...the west coast 3 states are trying to do a power play and unite policies regardless of actual hospitalizations etc...not sure the endgame, but it isn't really science based.

I love the Beautiful Nature in this state, so much amazing stuff to do...I despise portland and it's effect on the state...starting to dislike the leadership now also

My county is low population and we were allowed to go to phase 2 or 3(don't even get me started on phases lol)...but the northern part of the I-5 corridor is being strict as fuck(entering phase 2 but governor keeps acting like it is time to go back to lockdown over nothing burgers)...masks required now indoors(I understand some of y'all are cool with that, and that is all good with me)...My county is pretty normal now except for all the masks that are worn by personal choice not requirement other than a few businesses(only had 3 hospitilizations in the last 3 months though)

TLDR I like wild west and personal freedom, not a fan of govt infringing on freedom for any reason(covid included)...I am fine if I catch flak for this statement but that is how I feel.

i totally feel ya

my main issue is that both side of establishment politicians painted this is a binary issue (1) stay shut down or (2) re-open and get businesses back up and running

but that was never the case. it was never binary

at morgan stanley, i worked along side many of the rich bastids that got bailout-bonuses basically, in the years after the 2008 crash. and i lived with a dude who alongside his co-workers, made a killing off of TARP. and the government did much of the same to a larger extent this year, when they could have been structuring the trillion dollar bailouts MUCH differently so as to both keep people hired and assure the money gets into the hands of people who need it, instead of the rich

by doing that, we could have had a much stricter lockdown, and effectively, let most of the corona virus die off instead of being the world leader in corona deaths (and downstream deaths such as increased suicide :(

unfortunately, our politicians are bought out by the corporations due to citizens united
