No they won't. University degrees are largely positional goods and to an extent Veblen goods. They are about conspicuous consumption. You are not paying for a particular quality of service, you are paying for status. The more expensive the school, the better.
The line 'You wasted $150,000 on an education you coulda got for $1.50 in late fees at the public library' in Good Will Hunting is right about the quality but misses the point of what College is about for most people (obviously, for some fields, it is genuinely important).
Big money has been invested in changing the education models. Pumping up the brainwashing and squashing critical thinking has been the trend in education and it will continue at an even faster rate.
This is the perfect time to make changes so expect to see lots of them, and some will not make sense or be logical.
I expect some things will never be the same regardless of outbreaks etc...
I know homeschooling gets a bad rap, but I expect many more parents are going to consider educating their own children outside of the public system.
