Sounds like the church and camp are being very tight lipped on the number of cases, not surprising. I found another instance in Missouri where it ended up with 82 kids being infected. Out of how many? I do not know.
Public health would be aware of those cases as they're the ones doing the testing. There's no way to cover that up unless you're suggesting the church is usurping the local public health entity.
Public health hasn't commented on it, but would it surprise you that a religious institution would not cooperate with the government?
The quote in the article is from "health authorities". The church isn't doing the testing so their level of cooperation is irrelevant

I disagree. Having a handful of cases out of hundreds of people seems like a stretch to be assigning blame. Especially when the health authority says "yeah, some people that have covid were there." Rather than "covid was being spread around at the camp."
Maybe the camp isn't in the same area as the county the church is in? I'm not sure.

When you have hundreds of kids and there are "several cases" it would be reasonable to assume there's not that many. Otherwise it would be dozens of cases.Maybe the camp isn't in the same area as the county the church is in? I'm not sure.

So true, the parents are just as dumb as the church camp. Imo. Respectfully.
I think the church said that the kids would wear masks and they would bunk in small groups. Her daughter's "small group" was 40 kids. Lol. Mom also said that she was monitoring website as they post pics of activities and there were many pics and videos of kids not social distancing and no masks. Mom texted two different people affiliated with the camp with her concerns. They reassured her that everything was fine. Even though they had sent a corona suspect home on day one and a positive on day 3. Also, mom was concerned that the church wasn't notifying parents of positive tests after the camp was over. She pointed out that they wouldn't have known about two others had it not been that they know them personally and had been in contact. The church said they were following the health department guidelines and had did what was required of them as far as notifications.
