Report: Temporary $52 Million Coronavirus Hospital In New York Admitted Only 79 Patients

- Doctors were paid as much as $732 per hour

- “I basically got paid $2,000 a day to sit on my phone and look at Facebook”
What a waste. I wonder what the reason for the fever thing was? What would you do with a field hospital for a virus that couldn't accept patients with symptoms of that virus?

If better-coordinated, maybe other kinds of hospital patients could have been sent there instead to make room.

"A coronavirus hospital in New York City had only 79 patients while other permanent hospitals were crowded with patients, per a report published Tuesday."

"The temporary hospital was barred from accepting patients with fevers, a common symptom of coronavirus, the Times reported. The hospital apparently had only two ventilators, limiting treatment of severely ill patients."

Finally some talk out of Washington about cancelling the stimulus. This needs to happen.

I know of a company in Lexington trying to hire 30 people. Nobody is applying.

I hired a guy the other day and when I called him about his start date he actually said "I'd like to wait and see what they are doing with the $600/wk payments." Basically - if they renew it through the rest of the year he's not interested in working. Oh well. At least he was honest with me. That's the 1st potential hire that's mentioned it, but I know that's the root cause of my staffing issues.

Washington needs to remove their heads from their collective asses and stop this madness.

Donald Trump: Finally does something responsible.
CNN: Finds way to call it into question.

I anxiously await the CNN articles telling people that masks are for Nazis.
I mean yeah it's good that he finally changed his tune, but how many people had to get infected and how many died before he did?

Question is rhetorical. I know such a figure is impossible to quantify.

His position is $18/hr to start

The Lexington positions are $15/hr to start.

With unemployment rate (for Ohio - not sure what KY is) and the extra $600/wk everyone is getting it adds up to about $25/hr (40 hr week)

I don't blame the people. I blame Washington.

$424 Ohio Unemployment max plus $600 stimulus = $1024
1024/40= $25.60

All to sit home and do nothing while literally EVERY COMPANY in the area is hiring.

Ah so it's not an either or, but they would still get the 600 weekly?
Does everyone get it?

If they file for it, yes.

Normally you have to prove a bunch of shit to qualify, but they've relaxed that to basically nothing.

I had a guy resign. Gave me a letter and everything. He filed for unemployment and the extra $600 and got it even though I disputed it and sent them his resignation letter as proof. Then he immediately started texting his old team members telling them they should do the same thing. Thankfully none of them did.

Chasing that fast dollar is going to fuck him in the long run.

Given the history of public health authorities and their recommendations to not wear masks. None.

He burned a pretty big bridge with me. I will never hire him back, which I communicated to the rest of my guys and likely why they stayed put.

He's a driver, so by law his new employer has to reach out to his previous employer for hours of service and safety information. Should be an interesting conversation.

It's going to be interesting when you commie fucks in the People's Republic of America cut back on the free cash comrades Trump, McConnell and Pelosi have been handing out to everyone. It's actually incredible how generous your unemployment benefits are right now.

But the problem is your economy is going to take it right up the ass when they try to roll it back.

Still, at least you aren't us. Shit is about to go full Mad Max down here. Our conservative dipshit politicians aren't as smart as yours. They actually believe that 'balanced budget' nonsense. And the same geniuses thought it was a good idea to go to war with the Chinese, so they are going to curb stomp us on top of it.

How does that compare with the number of cases?
There have of course been more cases reported. But the argument at the beginning of this month was, "Well the death rate is steady so it's not as big of a deal" even though the experts cautioned that the death rate would take a few weeks to start to go up.

So while the average age of people who test positive is lower than it was in April/May, the death rate is still going up because the young are infecting the old.

Death rates when measured correctly are measured in per capita numbers. The number of deaths can be up and the death rate remain unchanged.
