He said he doesn’t want Fracking on Federal land.

The two things that he has said several times is that he would ban fracking on federal lands.
He is also said no new fracking. Yes said this sometimes in context of discussions about federal lands but it also was a statement that stood on its own.
Biden energy plan does not ban fracking. it does subsidize other things and removes subsidies which seem to include fracking.

That alone might significantly reduce or remove an amount of fracking that I Don't know how to estimate.

What's the net result on drilling?

The first debate was an utter shit show, I thought Trump lost worse than Biden.

This was much more like a proper debate, and I thought Trump did better.

Biden's closing statement was 100x better than Trump's closing statement

Dunno.
But the Biden plan is essentially shift subsidies away from fossil fuels so they compete less. This actually isn't a terrible idea. Are we just using this because it's artificially cheap? In that case it's really not that cheap.

On the other hand cheap energy to industry and the consumer is an economic stimulus.
It does seem strange that Trump and Republicans are so interested in federal subsidies while chanting about socialism. But I digress.

I'm not sure that subsidizing solar dollar per dollar gives the same downstream effects in this realm for general economic stimulus. Instead I would imagine a lot of that stimulus is eaten up at the solar manufacturer itself.

On the other hand here in Texas we have a great comparison between fracking and wind power. when power is profitable in its own. Much of the fracking is not.
It's actually disgusting that we continue to subsidize unprofitable wells at a time that we have an oil excess and are exporting it. You me and everybody are subsidizing cheap oil to the outside world..Why?

Yeah the oil companies making a ton of money being subsidized and will hold on to that until they can more profitably enter other markets.
Every single major oil company has already started buying up small solar and wind companies.
They all know that this is the long term.
Yet every single one of them will not let the subsidies go.

We all understand why this is and people can take whatever autistic position that they want on this as if it makes it okay. ("Herp derp companies are only in it to get their shareholders money so I don't blame them")

All that really matters is people at the end.
It matters that there's worse pollution because of it.
it matters which jobs are linked and which ones go away and which ones are replaced and which you do about that.
The industry itself isn't owed profits just because it's good at getting them out of public coffers.

I don’t know if either swayed the masses tonight. Both are clearly jokes to represent the US but the biggest moment that I think a lot of people will appreciate was Donald calling out Joe for his BS “politician” response. These are tough times, people want candor not pander.
