AP said they expect their cash reserves to be gone by the end of the year or Q1 2021.
But I also read an article last week that they are planning to open roughly 500 of their 600 US locations this month. They are the largest movie exhibition company in the United States and Europe, with roughly 1,000 locations and 11,000 screens worldwide.
I guess it depends on whether or not people are scared to gather in groups and whether or not this virus shutdown continues beyond the election.
From what I've seen around here as bars and restaurants open - people are over it. Nobody cares anymore
And since the beginning I've believed the reaction to this thing has been largely political.
