I still think Brexit is better than staying in the EU, although a deal would be preferable. We will have to take the pain in the short term it seems.
I was voting for Brexit not for BoJo, however at the same time I was voting against Corbyn lol.
We were never getting a good deal. Why would they give us a better deal than we already had?
It won't be short term, we will lose free trade with over 60 countries. FTAs take years to negotiate.
We were never going to get as good a deal, as they want to try to dissuade other countries from leaving by making an example of us. I should have said "short to medium term" purely regarding finances, I prefer that we are no longer in thrall to the European Parliament though. One of the things I agree with Farage on is that the European Parliament was in a way undemocratic, in that even if British people were overwhelmingly not in favour of a particular piece of legislation, it could end up being forced onto us by a bunch of MEPs that we never voted for.

Which particular piece of legislation were you not in favour of? The obvious step would be to discuss the legislation and leave if we don't like it, I get that. So what was it?
I'm not in favour of MEPs voting on any legislation which affects the UK. I didn't vote for any of them.
Regarding what inspired me to support Brexit, like many Brits the key issue was immigration, as I've stated before.
If the EU was just a big trade agreement and nothing more, I'd be all for it.

We already have the power to curb our immigration. Our government has chosen not to, because European immigration is a boost to our economy.
So you've voted to put the country into economic pain for the medium term (your words) because our government doesn't use the options available to control immigration.
What about the quota of non European immigrants we would have to take?
