By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to better enable a rising generat

duties
(i) produce a report
offer recommendations to the President and the United States Semiquincentennial Commission regarding the Federal Government’s plans to celebrate the 250th anniversary
(iii) facilitate the development and implementation of a “Presidential 1776 Award”
(iv) advise executive departments and agencies (agencies) with regard to their efforts to ensure patriotic education
(v) advise agencies on prioritizing the American founding in Federal grants and initiatives
(vi) facilitate, advise upon, and promote other activities to support public knowledge and patriotic education
Expires in 2 years. So this is really just a Trump appointed commission, not a commission that goes with each president.
(h) The 1776 Commission shall terminate 2 years from the date of this order, unless extended by the President.
