What this really means is 'we need to retain faith in our institutions so that when we use the partisan hack judges we've stacked the courts with to try to rig the election back in our favour, nobody can question it'. They just want the fat orange cunt to shut the fuck up so he doesn't give the game away.

The Republican establishment have more to lose from people losing complete faith in the corrupt and shitty system than anybody, because that misplaced faith gives them more control.

If they were smart, they'd cut their losses with Trump and just deal with a weak Biden administration that they can neuter with the Senate and the courts. But I think they've gotten too hungry for short-term power.
