Hey Doc, what happens if Ol' Creepy Sleepy dies before inauguration?

Does the Ugandan Giant just step straight in and replace him or is there a whole new round of retardation?

The current vote has yet to be ratified by the electoral college. Then Congress confirms it.

If Biden dies before that then the party can put forward a new candidate and presumably would pressure electoral college to ratify that person since most states have a policy about faithless electors (electoral college participants voting against the populations choice).

Presumably they would push forward Kamala Harris but they could pick anybody

Rudy Giuliani incredulous at news that election called for Biden
By Melissa Klein
Rudy Giuliani scoffed at the notion that the presidential contest went to Joe Biden Saturday, throwing his arms to the heavens when told news networks had made the call.

“Oh my goodness! All the networks. Wow!” Giuliani, who is President Trump’s personal lawyer, said in a mocking tone during a news conference. “All the networks. We have to forget about the law. Judges don’t count.”

The former New York City mayor went on to say, “Networks don’t get to decide elections. Courts do.”

“Courts set aside elections when they’re illegal,” Giuliani said. “In this particular case, I don’t know if there’s enough evidence to set aside the entire election, certainly not around the country. Maybe in Pennsylvania. There’s certainly enough evidence to disqualify a certain number of ballots.

Giuliani is in the Keystone state to lead Trump’s challenge of the vote count there.

“Build the wall” was one of the signature campaign promises of Trump’s 2016 White House bid, and after a number of battles with Congress and in the courts on funding, construction increased dramatically in 2020.

In January, there were 100 miles of wall built, and that increased to nearly 400 miles by October. The administration is on track to build 450 miles by the end of the year, and has the funding ready for further construction.

But Democrats have opposed the construction of the wall, and Biden has pledged to stop its construction.

“His obsession with building a wall does nothing to address security challenges while costing taxpayers billions of dollars,” Biden’s campaign website says. “Most contraband comes in through our legal ports of entry.”

Recently he made the pledge: “There will not be another foot of wall constructed under my administration.”

So while wall construction will likely continue until the end of the year -- it appears unlikely that more miles of wall will be built once Biden takes office in January.

However, unlike some of his former primary rivals, Biden has given no indication that his administration will knock down parts of the wall.

Most of that is just replacing old barrier that needed maintenance.
