Such a shame people are so easily manipulated.

Back in the day it would have been the religion that got him. I guess this is the modern version of brainwashing.

It really is a waste of a life.
If you don't see how people end up at that point its because you're the other side of the same coin and don't realize it.

QAnon[a] (/ˌkjuːəˈnɒn/) is a far-right conspiracy theoryQAnon - Wikipedia alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking ring and plotting against US President Donald Trump, who is fighting the cabal.[2] The theory also commonly asserts that Trump is planning a day of reckoning known as the "Storm", when thousands of members of the cabal will be arrested.[3][4] No part of the theory is based in fact.[5][6][7][

I'm not sure that equivalency is valid.

Is it because they’re stupid?
Experts have classified QAnon's appeal as comparable to that of religious cults. According to an expert in online conspiracy, Renee DiResta, QAnon's pattern of enticement is similar to that of cults in the pre-Internet era where, as the targeted person was led deeper and deeper into the group's secrets, they become increasingly isolated from friends and family outside the cult.[125] Online support groups developed for those whose loved ones were drawn into QAnon, notably the subreddit r/qanoncasualties, which grew from 3,500 participants in June 2020 to 28,000 by October.[126] In the Internet age, QAnon virtual communities have little "real world" connection with each other, but online they can number in the tens of thousands.[125] Rachel Bernstein, an expert on cults who specializes in recovery therapy, has said, "What a movement such as QAnon has going for it, and why it will catch on like wildfire, is that it makes people feel connected to something important that other people don't yet know about. ... All cults will provide this feeling of being special." There is no self-correction process within the group, since the self-reinforcing true believers are immune to correction, fact-checking, or counter-speech, which is drowned out by the cult's groupthink.

Tldr... Being confused as to why someone joined a cult doesn't make you the problem.

When people didn't understand why Jones town happened, I don't think telling those confused "they are part of the same coin" is accurate. What coin?

Same with qanon.
You don't have any idea how someone ends up in a for lack of better term cult other than "Ah, they're just stupid."?

I do. It's a combination of deep psychologies. Not just "gullible" either.

On the surface it's very confusing why someone would believe obvious bullshit. I'm not the problem if I'm confused by it. I'm not one side of a coin in that case.
This isn't about me. I don't understand your approach that people confused by cult followers inability to be shaken from their hypnosis are somehow the same thing...

For reference, the person who posed the question has spent all of his time here for the last year shitposting about Donald Trump, claims to work for BBC, and matter of factly states that media does not show bias. It occurs to me that he doesn't understand because he is the kind of person that he's asking about.

By the way, new Hardcore History is out.

No good to post? Sorry

Medicine my friend. Keeps my mother happy as she is almost always mad otherwise and helps me with my seizures. But I will keep it in my own picture thread. Cheers!

Trump had the young people place one hand on their hearts and the other in the air. He then had them pledge to abstain from drugs and cigarettes and avoid — or at least take it easy on — alcohol
