It's still a good point. Most people are just woolgathering and pearl clutching because of all this "oh how could they raid the halls of democracy!" Which is ridiculous. It's just a building. What was heinous about yesterday wasn't that people assembled or broke through barricades or even stormed congress. What was heinous is that they wasted this moment on a moron and his lies. Still, American elites are going to need to reckon with the fact that there are a lot of people hurting (or dumb) enough that they'll throw their weight behind any moron who looks like he might be willing to give them a fair shake even when he holds them in nothing but disregard and contempt.
