It's still a good point. Most people are just woolgathering and pearl clutching because of all this "oh how could they raid the halls of democracy!" Which is ridiculous. It's just a building. What was heinous about yesterday wasn't that people assembled or broke through barricades or even stormed congress. What was heinous is that they wasted this moment on a moron and his lies. American elites are going to need to reckon with the fact that there are a lot of people hurting (or dumb) enough that they'll throw their weight behind any moron who looks like he might be willing to give them a fair shake even when he holds them in nothing but disregard and contempt.

I wonder how many bugs foreign agents planted in the capitol yesterday? Security is gonna have fun sweeping every inch of the grounds.

why didnt they sweep every inch of it before they reconvened the voting last night. kinda weird how it gets over ran by hooligans and 4 hours later they are sitting in the chambers again

They may have swept the legislative chambers, but a ceremonial certification ceremony isn’t exactly where security breaches would occur, it would be through computer/device monitoring or listening in to “private” convos in offices and hallways.
