I'd also like to add three things that aren't discussed at all on either side of mainstream media

citizens United has effectively instituted legalized bribery. so its not illegal, but it is corrupt
that's why my response to the Corey booker campaigns text was that he seems cool and I'd drink a beer with him, but I would never vote for him as he in a corrupt neo-liberal, who works for wall street)

trump is obsessed with hunter biden. and he is right that its corrupt. but its legalized corruption. not illegal (unless there are details that I do not know)
(3)
main steam media won't call out these forms of legalized corruption because they are in the pockets of their "donors" as well (pharma and the defense industry for instance, pay main stream media huge amounts of money for advertisements)
similarly, Republicans and "moderate" democrats (anyone who takes corporate pact money) typically don't call out biden for hunter getting these positions since they all do the same thing
trump was unique in that he called out biden for this type of legalized corruption (granted, he gave his own children jobs. and even more specifically, China made moves that helped Ivanka business). but trump can do no wrong in the eyes of many, so he gets away with calling it out the corruption of others while practicing it himself
and the main problem is that he's just leveraging fear and hate to divide, or rather, to increase the support of his base. so he claims it to be a crime when its not. if trumo really wanted to address the type of corruption seen in the biden family, he would be clear that this is legalized corruption. and he would present options to improve such as:
- over turning citizens United (never gonna happen)
- implementing public financing of elections (giving money to individuals which we then choose which politicians to donate to so as to drown out the legalized bribery influence of corporation pact money)
