Hm interesting. I probably won't invest in that because this is how Westworld and Jurassic Park start.

I thought it was interesting, as well. I got the email because I have their service. I don’t know if it will start low since it is back by Sir Branson.

For those with Robinhood accounts - Be careful. I just read an article about them completing trades on margin even when the account had available cash on hand. Margin purchases get charged interest.

I don't have a Robinhood account and don't know how to navigate their platform, but for those who do you might want to check it out.

I'm going to post this in both stock threads.

Yea, I was just posting it for others who may be retarded and not know what it is.
I actually didn't know Robinhood was allowing people to go long on margin. That's usually reserved for shorts.
If people were purchasing stocks on margin with money they didn't have because it was a "sure thing" that it was going to go up - really dangerous situation. Nobody wants to get a margin call on a stock they bought for $300 that is now worth $70.

Actually sheds a little bit of light on why Robinhood chose to choke those transactions down - although restricting purchases to cash only would have made more sense.

Apparently it has to do with their instant transfer. My buddy opened an account in all this, knew the instant transfer would lead to margin buys (is that right?) but once his deposit cleared its been all cash. I just verified I have no margins on my TD account.

Good deal.
Yeah - it might be a situation where they are waiting for deposits to clear, so until they have real funds it's treated as a margin buy. That's legit.

But that's not what people on Reddit are claiming. They are saying all their transactions were set to margin even when they had available cash for the purchase. That's not the way it should be.

It's also the internet, so who knows what is true.

But I figured a heads up was in order just to make sure anyone with a Robinhood account wasn't getting shanghaied.

Oh I agree, I'd rather let people know so they can look into it. I'm guessing a lot of people didn't read the info when they signed up. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Just sold MRNA for a nice 22.7% win. May get out of NNDM as well, I'm up 8% as it is.
