I think manslaughter is a given. Not sure about the murder charges.Who you got in the sweepstake?

Some of the issues in this country are TOO obvious. Police being one of them; every time I see an overweight beat cop I laugh.
I can't wait for the ED209 units to deploy to Old Detroit.
Did he get charged with manslaughter as well as murder? Or are you saying that if the murder charge doesn't stick, they can reduce it to manslaughter and still find him guilty?I think manslaughter is a given. Not sure about the murder charges.
Yea they can choose between the charges. The only one that makes sense is manslaughter. Normally this could be a easy not guilty but due to "muh justice" it will be hard to pull off. I say it's a hung jury or manslaughter charge.Did he get charged with manslaughter as well as murder? I haven't been following the process since he was initially charged with murder, and as a non American I don't know how your legal system functions.
My big fear when I heard that he was charged with murder was that they would have to prove intent to kill, which I thought was unlikely, and that he would therefore get off scot free because they didn't charge him with manslaughter instead. That would mean riots for sure.
2nd degree murder, 3rd degree murder, and 2nd degree manslaughterDid he get charged with manslaughter as well as murder? Or are you saying that if the murder charge doesn't stick, they can reduce it to manslaughter and still find him guilty?
Very similarly to yours as that's what it's based on, but different charges can vary considerably from state to state.I haven't been following the process since he was initially charged with murder, and as a non American I don't know how your legal system functions.
I think state prosecutors across the nation learned from George Zimmerman, who was cleared of an overzealous murder charge for the exact reason you mention - failure to prove intent. He would have been found guilty of manslaughter, even some of the jurors openly acknowledged this.My big fear when I heard that he was charged with murder was that they would have to prove intent to kill, which I thought was unlikely, and that he would therefore get off scot free because they didn't charge him with manslaughter instead. It will continue down racial lines imo. The black jurors wont care about any evidence presented and everyone else is a mixed bag

I don't believe that anyone can get multiple charges for the action, so the state is probably basing the 3 separate charges on different individual actions Chauvin committed.
He can't, so they'll use 3 different actions from the same event. For example, putting the knee on Floyd's neck will be only one charge.OK thanks, I didn't realise that he could be charged with multiple different things regarding the same action.
It's America. They throw as many charges at you as they can to increase the chances of one sticking. Then often they will allow you to plea deal because your faced with overwhelming odds.OK thanks, I didn't realise that he could be charged with multiple different things regarding the same action.
I only pressed charges because you ran awayI punched some cunt once in a pub there. It was after Pettis stopped cowboy with a body kick.
They wound up charging me with about ten things and sent me to court. I could either agree to plea and pay a fine or face jail etc. Wankers.
some of the female bobbies on the beat here in the UK are hilarious, they seem to pair up the short fat ones and neither of them could catch a criminal who simply walked away quickly lolSome of the issues in this country are TOO obvious. I hope he gets manslaughter at the least. Dudes a moron for sure. His first fuck up was when george floyd was screaming "I cant breath" in the back of the police car. Pretty sure policy is to shut the door and get him medical. You never take a criminal out of a car once you have them.
The knee is kinda weird because it doesnt look like its cutting off oxygen properly to kill someone and I dont believe the family's paid doctors. I wouldnt be suprised if meth, covid and resisting arrest caused a heart attack. Heart disease is very common in the black community and his age and drug use could have experimented that process
Both of these guys are a waste to society and Derek is gonna do 5-10 either way
i don't understand the appeal of Ben Garrison to anyone over the age of 17.
When it comes to political humour I prefer Mr Garrisoni don't understand the appeal of Ben Garrison to anyone over the age of 17.
He reminds me of "Mencius Moldbug", just trying to out-right-wing everybody on principle.
