Weirdly I'm only reading The Walking Dead, Invincible, Injustice and Secret Wars. This is the lowest comic input I've had in my life.

Finished Vertigo mini series by writer Peter Milligan called The Names

It's about a conspiracy of Illuminati-types called The Names that control everything... protagonist is wife of a businessman who just committed suicide. She is trying to discover why he killed himself and of course she runs into The Names. I liked how it started but didn't like a olot emement introdyced in the middle and the way it ended (not self-contained mini-series, seems open for a sequel).

I've got a couple of things on the bubble at the moment.

Reading Preacher on .pdf

Skagboys - Irvine Welsh

Illiad - Homer

The fucking introduction to the Illiad is a book in and of itself. Nightmare to be honest.

Basically I've been obsessively reading garden/farming/homesteading guides/memoirs, etc. But, now that the season is over, I think I'll get back into some of my other books, I have a huge pile waiting for me.

After ripping through the Game of Thrones books, I got hooked on true crime, mostly mafia stuff. "American Desperado" which was about the life of Jon Roberts, one of the main guys from Cocaine Cowboys. The Donnie Brasco book, Goodfellas book, and a few others. Lately I've just been reading Ruby on Rails books.

A few of my friends rave about this series. It's on my loooong "list of to read"
These are both very good and rather uneven. I feel the main prohibiting factor for starting this series is the first 300 pages are a slog. Erikson basically just drops you into the world. There's no explanation of politics and who anybody is, no explanation of how the magic system is composed or how it works, you're just there and the shits flying. Once you figure everything out its great.

This bastard should get to work and stop playing around. He's not a university professor, he's not creating functional languages, he's surfing the Internet at his vanity theatre whilst playing with his miniatures. He's approximately 5'4" 300 lbs and pushing 70. If he dies before finishing the series I'll kill him.

Currently trying to get through Robert Jordan's A wheel of Time series. On book 3 :/
Still so goddamn far to go...
Quick! Stop now. Books 4 - 11 go to shit then Jordan dies and somebody else finishes it off. Sooooo much wasted time. Why am I so stubborn? Don't do it.
