I'm down 4% today. Painful.

RFP got smoked. Down 12%
No reason that I see. Still up 20% for the week, so maybe people just taking profit on a down day. It's been running like crazy.

Good movement today with no annoucments. Acutally surprised considering Chuck Schumer just said cannabis banking law would have to wait until federal legalization. When Leslie starts making announcements we're gonna make some money. If that video was too boring to sit through, at least watch this timestamped part of the Q&A...

last I checked a couple weeks ago construction Lumber was $1100/1000 board feet which is ridiculous
I just got quoted $2800/m for a car of 3/4" T&G osb

That equates to $89.60 / sheet

I didn't buy it, but at the retail level we'll be approaching $100 a sheet if the mills keep this shit up.

Yeah I talked to a contractor friend of mine he is paying 93$ for a 7/8" sheet of OSB, they are trying to say some of the additional cost is coming from a glue shortage

Netflix (NFLX) down about $100 from its 52 week high. Getting hammered because it had the smallest quarterly subscription growth in 4 years.

1 year ago in Q1 they added 16 million subscribers.
This quarter they added 4 million

For their Q2 projection, they set the bar at only 1 million added subscribers.

More streaming options and a custumer base that is no longer in lockdown is to blame, and Wall Street likes continual quarterly growth - any step backwards will get you hammered.

Current price is $509. Down 7% today.

The resin shortage is widespread and is effecting all sorts of products. Some OSB (not commodity), vinyl windows, i-joist, LVL. It's a clusterfuck.

They also raised their fees in Q1.

RFP has earnings on the 29th.

In the past that's meant a buying opportunity because the price has dipped after earnings despite crushing historical numbers. In Wall Street it's more about beating projections than it is about being profitable.

Trading at $16.37 right now

Either way, it looks like this thing is headed right through $17

Check out performance right after earnings. Despite crushing it, the price has pulled back the last 4 times after earnings - then quickly rebounding.

The lumber market continues to break records with each passing day. Mills are only holding quotes for the length of a single phone call. Call them back to order the same load and it might cost you $1000 more.

It has passed the point of insane and stupid - we have reached unfathomable numbers.

In April 2019 my landed cost on a 2x4x12' SPF board from Canada was $2.82

Today it is $11.34

Yea, we looked at building and then quickly decided now wasn't the time.
