Okay - good start. This is a discussion board that is open to anybody who signs up. How do I respond to being told that I'm an alias? I said it wasn't so and that was rejected not because of any evidence (there is none because it's not true), but because that's what he wants to think. What is the appropriate stance to take after that? Put him on ignore? Because I'm not whoever he wants to think I am, based on no evidence?

Great. It's good to have a forum that isn't ruined with toxicity. We should speak to each other with respect.

Unfortunately, this is an international message board, not a private WhatsApp group between friends. And posting stupid gifs in lieu of honest responses to on-topic points, is not respectful discussion.

I am only rude to him AFTER he responds to a balanced, on-topic post with a sneering, sarcastic response where he acts like King Shit and refuses to acknowledge anything that was said. And I have offered to reset - he isn't interested.

This is a discussion board. If he can't handle the give and take of a political topic, then he's not interested in a discussion. Is he. And if that's the case, he should stay out of the political threads. We don't (or shouldn't, at least) all have to agree on everything all the time - that's boring - but we should at least be able to back our statements up, instead of just whining that the other guy is a prick for responding to a post with anything other than "great post mate absolutely correct." Is that fair?

1- you post like the Vutu member that they refer to. He was quick to call people idiots and it’s kinda a joke that has been thrown around here for years since he was banished. I’d have pmd a mod and asked what that’s about first.

2- if memes and gifs are insulting to you then try those as a response instead of the name calling that’s against the sites rules.

3- if you believe a persons a troll be an adult and let that person be. Why do you want to spend hours a day communicating with people you believe are troll? Ignore function isa Great site feature.

4- the most important thing you need to understand
You’re on a fight forum talking politics. Maybe this isn’t the place for you to discuss that topic. Looked back through your posts and the only time you seem to go off the rails IMO is in the political threads.

Just some ideas to think about before the day comes where you post something that gets you banned. I’m not even saying you’re right or wrong but there are rules that we’re supposed to try and follow.

I tell him "this is not actually the case, because x, y, z. What you are saying is actually garbage, show me I'm wrong if you can."

Well clearly, I am not this Vutu guy who hasn't posted here for years. So perhaps I am owed an apology for being repeatedly told that I am him? I'm not of course - I don't take this place anywhere near that seriously. But it's a bit of a cunt's trick to troll a noob with that as a way to avoid actually engaging with or addressing any of the points he made in a political themed post, would you agree?

I don't spend "hours a day" here. I post from work for two minutes or five minutes between calls, in my downtime. The second a call comes in, I drop my phone and return to it later. Or when I get home, if I'm relaxing with the dog and the missus isn't home. On my days off, you'll barely see me.

I'm actually pretty easy to get along with....... if you're not a crybaby troll. I don't care if you disagree with me, I'm not the font of all wisdom. Which is why I give a shit about sourcing, btw. Because I'm aware that just because I WANT something to be the case - or assume that it is - that doesn't actually mean anything.
