Heat got trapped up north in a "heat dome" according to local news sourcesWe’re still at 104, but it looks like it’s coming down pretty quick. Supposed to be in the 80s by 9pm.

It's still 74, and 76% humidity here. It's not even hot yet.
I'd have my windows open, if I were you.
South central Kentucky now. These hills like to hold onto humidity. They are open
I open them almost every night during summer
Are you a west coaster or is that some east coast/southern humidity?
Ohh, that stuff is intenseSouth central Kentucky now. These hills like to hold onto humidity.
I came from Wisconsin though, so it's still torture, and I'm very jealous.
Damn dude, I hope all goes better than expected. That's the only plus to this weather.Ohh, that stuff is intense
I went to that type of climate 20 years ago
I went for a run and realized it was no place like home
Humidity is a huge reality check for me...Only humidity I am used to is when it is raining lol.
Not sure how humans deal with it.
That said we are gonna burn down and breath smoke for a month this year in many places
My pops is 20 miles from a fast moving fire near mount shasta valley, is getting prepared to bail if needed. It just started yesterday.

It will be fine for most people and homes, but some areas will burn every year out here in the dry regions.Damn dude, I hope all goes better than expected. That's the only plus to this weather.
I'm glad they're prepared, but I couldn't imagine losing my home like that.It will be fine for most people and homes, but some areas will burn every year out here in the dry regions.
Low humidity, dry brush/trees, and a spark(lighting) equals fire, so yes that is the trade off.
Pops has a big camper on a dually truck ready to roll up or down I-5 as needed...odds are they will be just fine.
Low humidity can be an amazing climate to live in most of the time. It does come with a risk of fire and at the least a bit of smoky air each year. + West Coast politics are ridiculous haha
Tell me you know nothing about Norse mythology without telling me you know nothing about Norse mythology. It's raining. Praise Odin.
Well fortunately, so long as we all keep collectively doing absolutely nothing about climate change, these hot temperatures absolutely will not continue to get steadily worse.
