That's like saying you have freedom of speech to yell fire in a crowded cinema when there is no fire.

I don't believe in conspiracies when 7 or more humans are involved.
Were you always pro censorship?
Weird world when an award winning BBC editor wants opinions regulated.

You really believe that if I post masks suck on Facebook it’s the same as starting a human stampede?

should Leigh @Leigh delete any posts that say Conor was winning or doing well?

State actors have always shared information with media companies about the accuracy of information. Many reporters of course rely on state sources for their stories and in the case of the digital world, there have always been official accounts that directly comment or report on the accuracy of claims made in mediated space. The US chamber of commerce could contact Splinty tomorrow and tell him he's promoting misinformation about jetboats, which are in reality safe and fun for all who engage in watersports and they recommend his taking it down. It's up to him whether he does absent a court order. No media system in history has ever been free of the state's efforts to influence what is said or spread. But that's not the same as freedom of speech or press.

For anyone following at home, here's the context:

“This widespread attack against voting rights is unfortunately not unprecedented, but it is taking new forms,” the president said. “It is no longer just about fighting over who gets the vote and making it easier for eligible voters to vote. It’s about who gets to count the votes and whether your vote matters at all. “
Biden is condemning the Supreme Court blessing for states to restrict voting rights amongst certain populations.

Don’t even know where to start with original story. Here’s a solid breakdown of media failure on the subject. I don’t know this source best breakdown I could find

Interesting. The phrase was definitely built on a lie and perpetuated by the US news media. It seems even Fox used it. Looking at other articles It looks like it became viral for emotional and societal reasons too.

“Hands up, don’t shoot” links directly to Brown’s death, and it went viral. After the shooting, St. Louis Rams players raised their hands as a symbolic gesture entering the field before a football game.

The lie wasn't invented by the media though. I think that's important to note. Dorian Johnson invented the lie. The news media failed to get another credible source before broadcasting it but once they did the cat was out the bag and people used it as a rallying cry against police oppression.

A lot of media have since disowned the phrase and apologised. Definitely not a good look for who broadcasted it and even poorer for news outlets that continued using it when reporting on people marching and using the slogan without explaining that phrase was never uttered by Brown.

Still can't see a conspiracy but can see why it would piss people off.

Yes he knows
Hes a good friend and has stayed at my home before.
I can call him to discuss or hell fly to his state and he’d meet me to talk about it.
You seem to think you’re clever with your insults when you’re actually a coward that’s said he can say what he wants because we’ll never meet. Another situation where you are totally clueless who you’re talking about.

U.S. charges 2 men for plotting to blow up Democratic headquarters in California
According to the unsealed indictment, Ian Benjamin Rogers, 45, of Napa and Jarrod Copeland, 37, of Vallejo started plotting to attack Democratic targets after the 2020 presidential election. They also tried to get support from an anti-government group to further the cause.

The indictment does not name the militia group they contacted, but prosecutors in a different court filing said Copeland emailed the far-right group Proud Boys, trying to "recruit others to join the plot," and also was a member of a militia group affiliated with the Three Percenters.
