Why do females think they can hit men and expect no consequences?

I find the whole "you want equal rights right, so if you hit me im going to level you with a haymaker hahaha" mentality a disgusting redneck ethos. The ultimate expression of fuckboyism.

Nobody should hit anyone ever, unless you're in a sanctioned cage fight or smacking her ass during sex, but by in large men are physically much stronger and more durable than women are. This explains why every single day on average 3 women are beaten to death by men but you can find almost no stories of men beating women to death ever. Unless she has a knife and is trying to kill you, or her name is Cyborg, there is no reason to punch a woman even if she smacks you.

I find men who worry more about the "why cant I hit a woman" double standard than the "significantly many more women spend their last moments existing while being violently assaulted by males than vice versa" double standard, creepy and weird.
A study in the UK showed that about half of domestic violence victims are male. I think it is abosultely a valid topic for discussion.

Any women that hits a man should expect to be hit back. most men like myself will not do that tho.

Victims. Maybe. There are stats which also conflict with this(not sure about the UK) but sure, lets accept it for the sake of argument. But - Homicide victims? NO.

It is an important distinction, is it not? Defending yourself doesn't mean punching someone in the face.

Are there battered husband shelters? Do women beat men to death?

Nobody should hit anyone. But when women die at astronomically higher rates, I think we need to account for this within culture. Don't hit women. If she hits you, turn around and walk away. This shouldn't be a discussion we have to have imo

I'm sure I could find links to women killing their husbands on Google. Would you like me to?

Agreed. Reasonable force varies on circumstance.

Are there battered husband shelters?
Yes.

Yes

I understand your point that men are significantly bigger and stronger and built for physical conflict than women. Its not a fair fight, hence why we have gender divisions in combat sports (and sports in general). And I agree that your response to violence should be reasonable and proportional.

My point is that lack of a Y chromosome (or more crudely, having a vagina) does not entitle you to assault people. I wouldn't full on punch a small woman in the face but I also wouldn't punch a frail man in the face. Actually, I rarely punch anyone full on in the face in self defence situations.

As an example, I was attacked by a man a few years ago. I posted about it on the OG. I was on my bicycle and we had an argument. I was scooting away and he followed. It got heated and he headbutted me. I had no where to go as I was sitting on my bicycle and he was attacking me, so I had no option but to defend myself. Thing is, the guy was pretty small and in his 50s. A right hand in the mouth would have killed him. So I used a karate chop (LOL) which immediately ended the confrontation. Some people came to help him up and told him he was in the wrong, so I left.

The moral to that story is: I advocate using restraint with EVERYONE. By saying it's wrong to hit women, you are insinuating that they are a special class.

People ask me "dude, why don't you write more, why dont you post more" here and other places. Why? Because "dont hit women" is trolling on an MMA board.
No, advocating walking away when someone is assaulting you is so naïve (and dangerous) that it can be misconstrued as trolling.

I know women kill men sometimes but you know damn well we're talking in aggregate on macro levels. Isolated examples don't change the demographic realities. Nobody should hit anyone. And self defense should be contextualized to the situation. And if it is a woman who happens to be smaller than you, don't hit her, no matter what she does, unless you absolutely have to to prevent serious injury. defend yourself another way or leave. I don't dislike the cultural taboo against hitting women because of our violence against women problem. Like I said, lets focus more on that since men already hit them way too much.

Dont hit anyone.

Good example in the story. The last real fight I got into was over my 20 year old neighbor kid attacking his pregnant girlfriend of all things, while I was outside playing frisbee with the kids. I screamed at him I'd call the police. He freaked out, took his shirt off and ran into my yard. I don't consider myself any sort of a bad ass but I boxed for a while in highschool and have been in a few scuffles. Anyway, he was about 8 years younger but a few inches taller. But for a brief moment I was Dan Henderson. A single right hand was all I threw and he collapsed to the ground. I ended up breaking his jaw and he required surgery. Left in an ambulance on a stretcher. Despite this, thankfully I had witnesses. I wasn't even cuffed. He left in an ambulance and I went inside. Normally it doesn't work that way. She wouldn't press charges so he skated on that, but it was hilarious reading the police report. I swear the officer who wrote it literally dead panned numerous disses against the kid in the report.

My children thought I was superman and my wife was extra aroused by such an overt display. I only wish my neighbors had their phones out for my world star hiphop glory.

Unless she is seriously hurting you, just retreat. Leaving the situation of a violent attacker isn't outlandish. Especially since even if you may have been hit first, who you think the cops are cuffing bud?

I never said it was ok to hit women but if you hit anyone then expect the other person to retaliate whether it be male or female.

I have a story about that too. And two female police officers turned up. I didn't even get spoken to rudely. I'm refraining from posting the story in case it triggers you ;)

The ones that think they can get away with this shit probably had younger brothers.

Example: My big sister pushed my down two flights of stairs when we were kids, I retaliated by punching her in the arm.

She ran off crying to our parents who immediately grounded me and the fact that she had just sent me bouncing down 40 fucking steps like a young Jackie Chan was lost on them.
interesting to me. my oldest is a girl..youngest is a boy. she was a TOTAL bitch to him and he worshiped her. Once she was pushing his buttons...he had all he could take and took a swing at her. I let them fight it out for a few. i didn't punish him because i witnessed the whole thing. wonder if i hadn't if i'd have grounded him ..
honestly i saw no other way to make my daughter realize..if you're gonna be an obnoxious shit talker who pokes...people are going to react.
years later..they're bffs.

It's not a man vs. woman thing. If you as a human choose to enter a combat situation, you have given up the right to be safe from physical altercation. Done. Just because you wear glasses, or are a little pudgy fellow, or a girl, does not give you the right to initiate assault, but even more, it doesn't exclude you from retaliation.

If you don't want to get hit back, don't hit in the first place, there should be NO exception in this.

That said, I would still think hard before ever hitting a woman back. That choice would not come easy for me. The choice should be there to defend or retaliate. But ultimately, whether a man or woman is hitting you, the noble choice would be always to walk away, if possible.

I don't think this story got enough attention. You broke a person's jaw and he required surgery and he hadn't laid a hand on you. Da fuq is wrong with you?

And then you advocate walking away from confrontations
