nurses be nursing yo

What condition physically are the majority of "these patients"?
honest question
I completely understand if you don't wanna respond to that question

What state is offering the most per week for a nurse?
Oregon is gonna lose some from the vaxx mandate taking effect early october, already way understaffed

The ones that go bad? Mostly obese or other underlying health problems.

Your state.

I may see you soon!!

That's called "confirmation bias" and "cherry-picking data"
It's actually called reading the abstract.

Now, if I read the whole thing, picked out the 4 lines I liked and pretended that everything else didn't exist. Then you'd be on to something.

Thanks for response

Shit is about to hit the fan here no doubt...a good number of docs n nurses aren't gonna play mandated vaxx, they would rather move states...will prove to be a counterproductive mandate most likely

Price may even go up at that time

that's not how long it takes to learn how to do the routine/low-level tasks, and that's all it takes to free up a lot of experienced resources for intense care.
Routine/low level tasks aren't taking up the ICU nurse's time.

Biden addresses vaccine skeptics as FDA authorizes to Pfizer: ‘The moment you’ve been waiting for is here’
“If you’re one of the millions of Americans who said that they will not get the shot until it has full and final approval of the FDA, it has now happened,” the president said on Monday. “The moment you’ve been waiting for is here.”

I've got better things to do with my time than pretend I'm a virologist. I breeze through reports like covid through a cloth mask.

The people training nurses now (in school) have probably never laid eyes on a covid patient.

The already licensed nurses are on the floor learning as we go. That is why I said even some experienced ICU nurses are struggling.

If you took a 10 year nurse off the med surg floor, she would not be able to take care of a covid patient of she didn't have ER or ICU experience.
Splinty @Splinty is this true ?

It was preventable with vaccination.
way to generalize
you keep dismissing other factors on why people need to be hospitalized

besides that they are unvaccinated, how's their overall health? heart problem? weight problem? diabetes? immune compromised?

I don't buy this notion that JUST because people are unvaccinated it's overflooding the healthcare system. most likely unvaccinated + some other issue

All of the above.
The data is clearly out there to see break downs.

If everybody was vaccinated there would be no healthcare overun.
60 bucks a person, free from the government, and readily available. Fully vaccinated in 3 weeks.

Here we go again with the whole ignoring That just as many Americans have comorbidities as those who do not.
First it was only the older dying. Now it's an argument about only those with high blood pressure die!

If those exact same people were vaccinated there would be no healthcare overruns.

Alternatively you could get 100 million American adults to fix all of their hypertension hyperlipidemia and diabetes and obesity.
Agreed go ahead. Do that.

One is readily available and immediately accessible. The other, even with willpower and money and support will not happen in the same three weeks.

The bottleneck is lack of vaccination.

I don't buy this notion that JUST because people are unvaccinated

Also to be clear, I didn't say that. I said it was preventable with vaccination which set you off on this tangent.

sure it's not going to change overnight but shouldn't you at least suggest to live a healthier lifestyle?

I'm sure you've seen the studies about vitamin D and how much lack of has an effect on severe cases and the adequate levels on asymptomatic

but all you hear is just get the vacccine! vaccine!!

Yes absolutely.

yeah because ever since December that is the most cost effective and fastest fix.
Because it is the limiting factor on how to blunt this now.

I'm sure you've seen the studies about vitamin D and how much lack of has an effect on severe cases and the adequate levels on asymptomatic
Truth. Vitamin D has a role in lowering severe covid
