She has been charged with eight counts, including theft of government property, obstructing an official proceeding, and assaulting or resisting police, according to the indictment.

Human beings that do stupid things are still human beings. In a lot of these instances the people are pretty clearly mentally ill.
Some are on the spectrum. Some are sincere, intelligent people who were badly misled by an awful man. Some are just idiots who got swept up in an exciting "movement" instigated by an egomaniac. Some were just there to fuck things up, and they were all let into the place.
I remember going to Parler and AR-15.com that day and they were lit up like Christmas trees. They were calling the insurrectionists idiots but then saying they wished they were there.
