Freeloading Rusty @Freeloading Rusty

what's the ratio of officers on film being assaulted to officers on film conversing, encouraging, or permitting "rioters" to walk past?

Again, your logic is flawed.

The fact some bad apples were complicit in the riot doesn’t make it ok to assault the officers who attempted to uphold the law.

How many law enforcement officers have been charged for their actions on Jan 6?

your editorial cartoon is pushing the narrative that racist MAGAtards assaulted cops and stormed the Capitol.
That's not what happened. Those were exceedingly rare incidents, and were a result of the police ineptitude in planning or addressing the situation.

that cartoon is a lie...an untruthful assertion, in the modern parlance

And LOL at "how many cops are charged?"

in what bizarro world are cops routinely charged for breaking the law?

Neutralization and justification techniques 101:

Denial of the victim.

Denial of responsibility.

Denial of injury.

Condeming the condemers.

Minimize. Blame others.
Our playbook for adults needs revision.

How about a return to personal responsibility for one's actions?

That would be a good start.

OK - answer your own questions.

who is the victim?

who is responsible?

what is the injury?

Does anything he did invalidate anything I said, or just adjacent to my statement and question?
it's just that when we demand personal responsibility, we should start with those who have professional and ethical responsibilities, and we should consider the number of people over whom they had positional authority.

everyone is responsible for their actions. Some are also responsible for their influence on the actions of thousands of other people.

like the sitting POTUS at the time.

Far-Right Congressman Tricked Jan. 6 Planners With ‘Blanket Pardon’ Promise, Says Report
Gosar offered planners a “blanket pardon” in an unrelated investigation to incentivize them to organize the pro-Trump protests on Jan. 6. “Our impression was that it was a done deal... that he’d spoken to the president about it in the Oval … in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up,” said the organizer. The source claimed Gosar told them: “I was just going over the list of pardons and we just wanted to tell you guys how much we appreciate all the hard work you’ve been doing.” Rolling Stone also reports that at least three rally organizers are cooperating with the House panel probing the riot, and have alleged several members of Congress were “intimately involved” in the plans.

It's cute that even with all these reports of complete disorganization there are still people doubting down on "It was all planned by Trump in Florida!"

So far the story I'm getting is that there was some organization.
Which could mean a small amount to effectively none.

Loony people suck at getting it together

Pretty much. It sounds like there was a bunch of small pockets of people organizing themselves independent of the other factions.

Personally, I'm finding it humorous to watch the "Capital Conspiracy" turn into Q for the left.
