Except when it's a couple of vile rednecks murdering a black guy on the side of the road because they thought he might have stolen some equipment weeks/months ago. From an empty construction site that they don't own, have nothing to do with, and don't even live near.

Well those were all points made by a legit defense attorney from Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion that I posted. I couldn't care less what happens to these 3 goofs but I don't just brush it off as it was just 3 racist "rednecks" (since it's ok to call them that) killing a innocent guy just because he was black. the only thing that matters is if what they witnessed justified attempting to detain the person, and if their use of force was justified and reasonable.
from what I've read, what they witnessed wasn't and neither was the force used.

and "but my sister dates black guys and I don't shoot them" is no kind of defense. I don't think they're racist, I just think they made bad decisions based on stereotypes and generalizations. I'm betting that the Dad's history of LE really fed his confirmation bias on those stereotypes, and this time he acted on those beliefs without a badge and killed someone.
