@Freeloading Rusty
when public sentiment moves against corporations, the corporate republicans paint it as bad and corporate democrats paint it as good, but they are really on the same team
you move the ball 3 inches with a promise of actually going for the touchdown in the future
Cenk touched on this last night in terms drug prices
(short version) every other country allows government to negotiate drug prices. but as usual, america is the most corrupt due to policitians being bought out by corporations
so in the new bill, government will be able to negotiate drug prices on a handful of drugs, beginning in 2025 (as opposed to all drugs beginning yesterday, like every other sane country)
so the republicans says "no. they need their profits or else they wont innovate." (which is bullshit, especially since government often funds the research, but then pharma execs pocket all the profit)
and democrats say "we want government to negotiate, but this is the best compromise for now" (as they pocket checks from pharma companies)
republicans and democrats are on the same team, which is why the whole "biden is a socialist" rhetoric is moronic
