There's a lot of data missing and simply comparing mechanisms of action doesn't give you the final picture. Probably the easiest example outside of straight in vivo versus in vitro comparisons is to look at ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin. I could write that same video and show you how these two drugs are the same class and the exact same mechanism of action. However you see significantly different MICs for lower respiratory pathogens that cause pneumonia.
