I was just thinking the same thing. I would hope I would sacrifice myself for my family and not worry about texting.

The guy who escaped says it's true.
While most will fight or run,people will react in unusual ways when tragedy strikes.
The people tweeting are asking for help. They could be hiding, there could be all sorts of things going on.
Either way, this is still a nightmare.
Even if I wasn't that noble, I'm looking for a window to climb out of.

As long as the tweets aren't from those responsible and being used as a trap. First rule of an incident like this is to shut the fuck up. When there was an attack on parliament last year, and they weren't sure what was going on the first thing the police asked people to do was not share any info about what's going on, or their whereabouts.
A clear head based on assumptions says you all bum rush the terrorists. However, we don't know what's happening. Maybe some tried and got gunned down.
We have no idea how we'd react. We think we know, but we don't. Let's hope we're never in that kind of situation.

Agree, I'm assuming and it's just wrong and inappropriate considering the circumstances.
i would hope people would be able to get together to save themselves...i actually hate thinking about what they must be going through.

We might freeze for a moment in shock & get shot. Or just run. Or find a hiding place. Or fight, or whatever.
I hope I never have to find out. I feel terrible for anyone who's been in that situation.
i can understand that..don't really want the killer to know where you're hiding. makes sense. hopefully they can at least text their loved one who can tell the cops what's going on inside.
