There are public awareness campaigns against both actions, especially drinking and driving.

Police also take steps to proactively seek out those driving under the influence through bullshit roadblocks, I dont hear much crying about the fact the rcmp can detain you for no reason and/or demand a sample of blood or saliva.

Additionally, the govt and ICBC take action against repeat drunk/high drivers through measures such as blow tests in cars and ignition locks.
Well, its really hard to argue against drinking and driving being a terrible decision.

It's hard for me to choose an analogy that is close to whats happening right now with restrictions and things like that.

I really don't agree with them, the passports, the mandates in workplaces unfortunately I guess that places the anti label on me but I just feel like everything has been sorta one or two ways contradictory at least where we at

We'll be fighting in the streets with our children at our feet, and the morals that they worship will be gone.
And the men who spurred us on sit in judgment of all wrong, they decide and the Facebook sings the song.
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution, take a bow for the new revolution...smile and grin at the change all around, then I'll pick up my guitar and play just like yesterday.
Then I'll get on my knees and pray we don't get fooled again.

Climate change it had to come, we knew it all along, we were liberated from the fold that's all...

I'll move myself and my family aside(if we happen to be left half alive).
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky, though I know that the hypnotized never lie.

There'll be nothing in the streets that look any different to me, and the slogans are replaced by-the-bye.
And the parting on the left are now the parting on the right, and our beards have all grown longer overnight.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

We know based on who is getting sick enough to get tested or who is getting tested for travel-related reasons.

Until we have more data on the prevalence of asymptomatic covid in vaccinated persons and on how infectious asymptomatic but vaccinated covid carriers are, your point is rather irrelevant.

Based on the tests being taken, the unvaccinated are at least 3.5x more likely to catch covid than the vaccinated.
"Who is getting tested for travel reasons"

Funny you should mention that. Israel tests everyone traveling and notes their vaccination status. Someone did crunch those numbers. I think it turned out to be close, 2.5x.
(Sidenote: the scandal with those numbers after that was interesting.)

"Until we have more data on the prevalence of asymptomatic covid in vaccinated persons and on how infectious asymptomatic but vaccinated covid carriers are..."

But they are being told specifically not to count/trace vaccinated cases that aren't hospitalized.
There is no reason we can't have this data.

"your point is rather irrelevant"

No it's not.

Here you still don't get a test unless you have symptoms or are an unvaccinated close contact.

Ie, if I have to get a test because I have symptoms I'm required to self isolate until I get a negative test result or 10 days from onset of symptoms. My wife can just continue going about her business as usual. However if she were unvaccinated she'd be required to he tested.

Just a thought:

Capitalism With A Conscience—Volvo’s Great Act of Generosity
Volvo patented the designs; standard industrial practice, to protect their investment from copy-cats. Good patents offer you a defensible advantage over rivals—twenty years of monopoly rights in the U.S., for example. Having claimed this prize, Volvo were in a position to charge significant license fees to rivals, or indeed, to promote their cars as the safest on the road, by retaining exclusivity.

Remarkably, however, Volvo did neither, but made Bohlin's patent immediately available to all. Having sponsored the R&D, they gifted their designs to competitors, to encourage mass adoption and to save lives.

2.5x is still significant, but all we can do is go by the data we have.

Show me data that indicates the rate isn't as significant as 3.5x. Until then, your point is irrelevant.

The point is the data isn't being collected on a regular.

"Who are they?"

The CDC doesn't track breakthrough cases that don't require hospitalization.

Asymptomatic unvaccinated persons generally aren't being tested either. Sure there are employment requirements for the lepers, but I'd guess that the majority of tests are being done on those with symptoms, regardless of vaccination status.

Post data to prove me wrong or remain stuck in irrelevance.

Your call.

How does this fit into the narrative the vaccine doesn’t help health outcomes?

Insurance company is now offering $10 million coverage if your fully vaccinated.

No way they would put that money up of it wasn’t effective!

Governments have tried to address this through tax credits, taxes and other measures but have just seen massive push back and resistance against 'big govt intervening in peoples lives'.

We still do see it addressed through things like subsidies (fruits and vegetables) and insurances. such as. health and life insurances.
You know one thing that hasn't been addressed?
