i was reading about tracing the bullet, looks like it came from the "apprentice armorer", according to the armorer's dad, who would totally tell the cops if it was him or his daughter to blame.

... Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s father Thell Reed reached out to them [FBI] November 15 to tell them about possibly hundreds of rounds of live ammunition that Rust “armorer mentor” Seth Kenney took from him earlier this year. Kenney told the elder Reed to “write it off” when the veteran armorer and stuntman repeatedly inquired about the rounds.

In two conversations with the Sheriff’s Office, the elder Reed revealed that he brought the “approximately 200-300 rounds in the can …described the can to be green in color and looked like a military ammo can” to a “firearms range” to help train actors on another production with Kenney.

His interview is on ABC now for anyone in EST. I assume it'll be 8pm for every timezone. It is for PST.

He's saying he was cocking the hammer with his finger outside of the trigger guard. When he let go of the hammer, the gun fired.

He also said nobody knew what happened to her, and he wondered if she had a heart attack.

I can't stand Alec Baldwin, so it pains me that he has been legit good in quite a few things. His monologue in Glengarry Glen Ross and his part in The Departed being the two standouts.

This cracks me the fuck up every single time. Has done for years and years. Everything he says/screams after "Could I talk to you for a second please?"

He's great in the briefing scene earlier in the movie, too. "Microprocessors, gentlemen. Yes, microprocessors. I don't know what they are, you don't know what they are, who gives a fuck."

Clooney came out and said every time someone hands you a gun on set you check to see that it isn't loaded. Everyone does it every time you are handed a gun.

Alec's responds was "If that's your protocol, then good for you. Good for you."

If this is true, then....... uh....... that's not Clooney's protocol. That's the protocol.

Watching his explanation of "I didn't pull the trigger. I dropped the hammer and the gun went off." is kind of making him seem like he's covering up a murder.

Murder or manslaughter. He had to have pulled the trigger in order to get a single action revolver to drop the hammer, so he's lying.

Not technically true. He could have been pulling the hammer back, or releasing it forward (yes, I realize that putting the hammer forward technically means pulling the trigger, but I'm giving him leeway knowing he knows jack shit about firearms) and accidentally released it. In theory it shouldn't have enough force to set the round off, but it's not impossible.

My honest guess is that he's overcome with guilt and trying to rationalize anyway it could be not his fault. The problem he's creating for himself is that he's coming up with elaborate (and obvious) lies and these lies are making him seem less like someone involved in an accident, and someone who's trying to hide the truth.

The NRA obviously framed Alec.
I was actually just thinking "He's talking about guns the way anti-gun groups talk about guns."

Alec Baldwin in his next interview: "So I was just sitting down, having a coffee and many, many donuts. Thinking about how great I am, and then this gun just got up out of nowhere. Forced itself into my hand and then gunned down two people. I did everything I could to stop it, but it was just too powerful."
