For a guy that hates the pandemic, you sure seem to want to keep it going as long as possible.
I'm trying to play a different role now, the role of the alarmist...Sun Tzu

I listened to JRE Dr. Malone and JRE Dr. Peter A McCullough today

Some good stuff in there, Malone plays it close to the vest and comes thru...He addresses the "false mRNA claims" and all of that, comes off well and very educated on the rona and vaccines...and his ending message is top notch and I think most would agree and support it

Dr. Peter talks real fast, he hits pre hospitalized treatment like a boss...Good podcast for the fearful of contracting Covid...Many old and scared feel contracting means instant death, that just isn't so...being educated on your options is a great thing

Joe Brogan stays in his lane and lets them both do almost all the talking and asks the right questions mostly.

JRE 1747
JRE 1757

I recommend a listen even for the skeptical or new information adverse

This has bothered me from day one, unless your showing symptoms then why test? To me it sounds like hunting for false positives
It's a DNA database.
Both accurate & false positives produce fear = more testing = confirmation.
Same as placebo controlled double blind.

This was confirmed long ago.
There are other reasons as well.

I think it’s over. We’ve won,

the vaccines have won. Omicron has finally settled it,

it’s over, @Shinkicker supplied the stats.

the average age of person dying from covid is 82. The average age of life expectancy is 80 in this country.

Enough!

stop government intrusion on our lives

I haven’t been in this thread for a while. Before the Holidays, I would’ve agreed things were getting better. Everyone said the new variant is more contagious, but less lethal. In the past six weeks i know 4 people who have passed away from COVID. Ages ranged from 40-55. I know 5 others who were admitted to the hospital, 1 of which went on a ventilator for a short time. Where i live the shit is far worse now than it was when we were in lockdown last year.

A major reason to swab everyone is to isolate the covid kids from others when admitted. A hospital, especially children hospitals, has an innately larger group of people that are immunocompromised and for whom covid represents a much larger risk than usual.
COVID patients are also managed, like other respiratory pathogen patients, with different PPE than say a broken bone with no infectious process going on.
These are just questions I'm asking and I appreciate you guys responding.

Testing with no symptoms was just stumping me, not just at hospitals but for travel and stuff like that but I can see the point traveling cause people are fuxked and would still travel even if they knew they were infected.

Would it be better to just assume patients visiting the hospital are infected regardless of what their visit is? I imagine testing is cheaper than PPE?

Either way I love you and I think it's time to end this shit

Hospitals are already over burdened imagine the situation if they treated every patient like they had Covid?

I don't know the process so it's hard to say without making assumptions.

Everyone's burnt out, our PHO is telling everyone to brace for 1/3 of workers to be off sick, things are just fubar.

Not having the gym is really kicking the shit out of me, I've been sober for close to 12 years and don't have a real outlet other than exercising. Lots of snow on the ground here and the home workouts although they are better than nothing just don't provide as good as an outlet as the mental preparation it takes to go to the gym, the leaving house and the time away from it. Anxiety been increasing and I'm having to talk myself into the dialy chores and stuff I have to do so I imagine depression will be following.

Duolingo is awesome.
So are gardens.
Just a couple good examples.
Anarchists cookbook will keep you busy for months, so easy to make chloroform and napalm.
Books on knots are very useful.
This video had me buy more rope:

Can you show evidence of an asymptomatic person spreading Covid

A single case?
The majority of cases are being spread pre-symptomatically with Omicron (or so I've read). It's why vaccines aren't reducing transmission anymore. They still reduce symptoms but that's not stopping asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic spread.

I'm still testing positive, despite no/little symptoms. Was hoping to get out of quarantine early but I guess I'm spending the weekend in my bedroom again.

Well I have one for you. My wife is a teacher and tested herself Tuesday in readymentation of starting Wednesday. No symptoms but it was policy for them to check. She tested positive. I have access to a few of the good lateral flow tests so we tried another. Same result. She went for a PCR test yesterday. Results came this morning confirm she has corona. Tested our little boy before he went in to school yesterday negative. No symptoms. Tested today. Positive. So there is your case.

I am clean. I reckon I had this thing in mid December but was so mild I didn't even notice it it till it had gone.

As I say it's all good health wise. But it is my daughters birthday weekend and we've had to cancel the party. Mates mum's funeral tomorrow. She can't go to that either. Plus she can't leave the house. And I'm working. Grim start to the year.
