A .00000001% chance of negative side effects is a concern for you?It is.
But it's not.
Especially for kids. Force kids who have like a .00000001% chance of getting dead from Covid to get a vax that can have negative side effects with life-long complications.
I don't have the data to know if its good, but the data cited by CDC says that omicron has a shorter viral shedding period and that's the reason for the change. If that's true, then shortening the quarantine period and then just masking afterwards is exactly a good plan. Quarantine is individual lockdown. Like social lockdowns it has benefits and harms. Need to minimize those harms if they can't be justified.CDC backs previous advice to back 5-day isolation; no test needed
Dr Anthony Fauci , in television interviews on Sunday said officials were considering asking people to get tested after a five-day quarantine - but that suggestion now appears to be dead in the water.www.dailymail.co.uk

Just How Much Was 2020 an Outlier for Deaths?
Setting cause aside, death numbers were 'massive' compared with 2019www.medpagetoday.com
Yes. It links to a JAMA study which states they found that 73% of excess deaths were covid, but deaths from all causes increased.did you read it?
My understanding was that the number of excess deaths in excess of the covid count is likely due to all causes of death increasing rather than just "Oh, it's all covid."Primary source @Filthy

Learning From Excess Pandemic Deaths
A comprehensive ability to anticipate and plan for future events distinguishes Homo sapiens from lower animals. But humans are flawed planners. Focusing on the near term has undoubtedly served humans well throughout evolutionary history, yet often leads to unintended consequences. Individuals eat...jamanetwork.com

What's the take home here? Are you saying this supports that covid numbers are not under counted?
states they found that 73% of excess deaths were covid,
I'm sure they do, but I haven't seen any data that supports it, and we know that people who show up dead are tested after the fact. So this idea that people are dropping dead in their homes, never seeking any medical care and that no one is bothering to look into their cause of death isn't really based on anything. Bear in mind, that George Floyd was killed on camera and then given a post mortem covid test.Just so you know many in larger organizations think we are undercounting due to lack of testing.
I obviously can't speak with extensive knowledge of jurisdictions I'm unfamiliar with, but here in Ontario lockdown related overdose deaths were outpacing covid like 3 to 1 that last I checked. In addition, they've just cancelled all of our non-elective surgeries here again. So yes, we're going to see more excess deaths here which will again match the wave of new covid cases. My larger point is that the testing of people for covid is pretty robust for serious cases, and there are countless side effects of a pandemic. When people start overemphasizing how deadly something is when they have little to support it beyond pure speculation, what they're actually doing is just fear mongering. Fear mongering caused this pandemic go on in the manor it has far longer than it's needed to, and in large part due to it, we're 24 months on and we still have nothing that represents a coherent plan to put covid in the rear view. But here's where I'd caution application:
JAMA modeling was US, March 1, 2020, to January 2, 2021
Since that period there has been a significant change in lockdown, people's personal behaviors, willingness to return to medical care despite covid etc. Many of the things that drive increased non-covid excess deaths are not seeking ER care and skipping screening items. By the numbers that isn't happening at our hospital division anymore. And yet there are still more excess deaths in 2021 than covid reports and they go up with waves. Perhaps the waves themselves cause people to hunker down independent of actual rules. But 2021 with vaccines and rule changes seems are really different model from 2020.
I can't tell what you are worse at...A .00000001% chance of negative side effects is a concern for you?
Well we both know I suck at math, so that takes my vote.I can't tell what you are worse at...
Reading comprehension or simple math.
Children have virtually zero risk from virus. While still very rare and long-term complications are still largely unknown, there are some risks with the vaccine.Well we both know I suck at math, so that takes my vote.
Are you stating the risk of a serious side effects is higher than the risk of complications from the virus for children? Any stats on that?
Every thread is the chit chat grabass thread with most posters here.Biden is so popular his thread became the chit chat one. Amazing!

Yeah it annoys me as well, how many posters are only interested in having a little circle jerk with their Internet mates. High school bitchy girl gossipy drama bullshit, is what a lot of it comes off as to me.Been that way since almost the beginning
