@Splinty - off the top of your head, does this sound normal? If I'm uninsured, is that price or something close to it what I'm going to be paying for migraine medication
I'm impressed its that cheap honestly. Our drug prices are abhorrent

In England your prescription costs 9 pounds and some pence. I'm too lazy to look it up.

If you are a perennial client you can pay like 30 pounds for a 90 day subscription.

One of the things I was thinking about recently was how lucky I was to have the NHS. 2 surgery and 3 nights in jail would've cost me a shitload in America as a contractor.

Q @Qat - in case i decide to do a video this weekend, i began screen-recording "Reacher" Episodes 1 and 2 last night before crashing.

Sometimes, the audio on the my PC's Recordings is muted or distorted. So before i began to grab Episode 3 just now, i tested the Episode 1 and 2 audio ... and apparently, i recorded those episodes with German dubbing LOL

realizing this in the middle of the day would be one thing. but seeing it was pretty hilarious to get this surprise before i even woke up enough to make tea

You ever seen someone have a seizure while using an acetylene torch?

@Splinty
Why cant you tell your greedy friends to hook up the people for a better price? How many yachts do you need when theres people shaking on the floor

The primary issue with drug prices is that the Republicans forced to compromise during George Bush not allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. Ideally this would be a bipartisan issue as Democrats want more government intervention and health care and Republicans should be arguing for being good stewards of the tax dollars. But that's not what happens. In an effort to make sure that old people got prescription drug access but also that the government didn't intervene in the obscene abuse of the patient, the compromise for George Bush's part D Medicare supplement was the no intervention clause.

Tell your idiot representatives whoever they are to get off their behinds and let Medicare, the largest drug purchaser in the entire world, negotiate drug prices down. Prices down. That downward pressure on the market would then be reflected for both Medicare Medicaid and commercial plans.

Another issue that has come to be is the essential bribery of drug purchasers on behalf of insurance companies by the pharmaceutical companies. The pharmaceutical company is found out that many of the drug purchasers such as insulin buyers make their money on commission based on how much of a percentage discount they obtained the drug for their insurance company customers. How do you add a larger percentage? Will you just jack up the price of the drug and then give a larger discount and that buyer makes a larger commission. It's essentially a bribe. They all did it at once And anywhere else this would be price fixing. Tell your idiot representatives to enforce antitrust actions against them.

And finally, there is no government arm to purchase drug patents on behalf of the public. Instead, the government only has the ability to authorize studies and brands. We should be funding these studies and when we do we the public should have access to this drugs that generic rates immediately. In some cases the government subsidizes studies and research billions and billions of dollars and then the profit is privatized.

But probably the easiest thing here to solve is simply let Medicare negotiate drug prices like every other insurance company does.

You actually read all that shit?
yeh man. im basically a one issue voter. so anything related to healthcare interests me

and your post doesnt surprise me since you are an honest actor and a man of the industry, but its beyond refreshing to see a non-progressive who is aware of all that stuff

(since establishment media on both sides of the aisle is indirectly bribed to cover it all up due to the advertisement revenue they recieve)
