At the end of the day, if you can have more than one kid be a good dad to them all and still be happy that’s great - good on you. I can’t.

Im sure I can be a good dad to one, but don’t think I can be a good dad to more than one child, so why on earth would I bring more kids into the world. Who would I be to do that?
I'm not ? that I'm not being trolled, but this is a shit take.

My friend was in this crash. He was a avionics tech with me. He'd been in the RAF for a fair few years and finally got the chance for a back seat ride in a T bird. Well the pilot had it in the hover and did.a bow he couldn't recover from, on the video my buddy doesn't realize it's going wrong and is like "oh wow"

Then the pilot ejected. On t bird harriers there's a .3 second delay if the pilot pulls the plug then it ejects the backseat too… both at offset angles to avoid collision.

My friend just mentioned it on Facebook. Been 13 years since he was in this crash in akrotiri Cyprus.

I told him I still think he pressed a button he shouldn't have.

I get all that man.

My original point still stands - I haven’t yet felt any benefit from being a dad. Maybe that will change when he’s here. Some peoples top life goals are being a parent. I’m not that guy.

It won’t stop me from being at my best, but it’s still the truth.
Being a dad isn't something tangible but it is the best part of my life by far.

Sneaky goat making her second escape attempt this week, this one less successful than the last because I caught her in time. She backed up when she noticed me and tried to casually play it off like she wasn't up to anything, too.

Why do you own a goat?
Came with the property. There's a full on empty section out the back that comes with the house. It's fenced off, and the goat lives out there with a sheep that she hates and is a dick to. If they didn't live there, the grass would be out of control.

New Zealander. Has a sheep as a flatmate. Makes sense.

So that KFC twitter account where they only follow Herb Dean, five other random guys named Herb and all of the Spice Girls? Apparently there's a sequel to that?

Interesting story. Wonder what caused the tires to pop? They will have been checked post flight and pre flight.

I reckon some daft cunt over pressurized them at night, then when the plane went out in the phx heat and got the extra weight of passengers and went to wind up they went bang.

I'll probably be thinking about this a bit today

My other theory is that the anti skid sensor failed, this not releasing the brakes correctly.

Judobill @Judobill is there a physical / digital indicator in that cockpit that would display if the brakes are applied?

Saying that if they already taxied it to prepare for takeoff.

Meh fuck knows.

Roger Fisher, formerly a Professor of Law at Harvard, talked a lot about questions surrounding nuclear missile launch authorisation. He was known for putting forward the Fisher Protocol, an idea that I find quite interesting.

"My suggestion was quite simple: Put that needed code number in a little capsule, and then implant that capsule right next to the heart of a volunteer. The volunteer would carry with him a big, heavy butcher knife as he accompanied the President. If ever the President wanted to fire nuclear weapons, the only way he could do so would be for him first, with his own hands, to kill one human being. The President says, "George, I'm sorry but tens of millions must die." He has to look at someone and realize what death is—what an innocent death is. Blood on the White House carpet. It's reality brought home.

When I suggested this to friends in the Pentagon they said, "My God, that's terrible. Having to kill someone would distort the President's judgment. He might never push the button."

I don't need glasses. My eyesight is damned near perfect, so far as I can tell. But yesterday I found out that work will pay for eyeglasses, and now I'm going to get some prescription eyeglasses.

Not at all man. It means I feel like I can have one child I can give 100% to, or two kids I can give 50% to each. I don’t think I could give 100% to more than one child. Makes it a no brainer for me.
Actually, sounds like you would do better with 2. Kids need a lot of attention and human interaction and with one, that one will be looking to you to fulfill all that. Two kids and they will get most of that interaction from each other. One = spending every moment at home playing legos and watching Peppa Pig. Two = relaxing and watching your kids play together. You jump in when you want.

Either way, I think everyone goes through what your feeling. You will do fine either way. Kids have a way of training you whether you like it or not. Lol

Well we’ll soon find out. Stopping at 1 and that’s that.

5 weeks or so til he’s here and tbh I still see no benefit to this. It’s gonna be a whole different ballgame putting someone else before myself, and tbh I don’t know if I’m gonna like it.

I’ll be a good dad - I’ll do everything I can to be as great as I can be. But being great and being happy are two different things
