Reacher.
Just finished the first episode. Cheesy parts to it but overall decent for a first episode.

Don’t know much about the books but it’s way better than either movies they put out.
im halfway through book 1 right now. plan on starting the show tonight after i finish it

first book is written in first person POV, so i am interested in how they will deliver the same info and emotions that we get from jacks thoughts

Ah a foosball show. That’ll be why it flew under my radar.
Yeah, but it’s not really about football. Just like The League isn’t about football/fantasy football, either. I will watch a raunchy comedy if it’s actually funny 98% of the time. It’s my favorite genre of comedy.

This is my favorite English speaking show, though, number 1.25 overall. It’s a small margin below my favorite, mostly because it is very real and my favorite kind of has the new shininess on it. I can’t find a freaking trailer for season one but here is a snippet Hulu put out. Whole thing is there. It is very raw, real, and explores the depths of emotions better than any form of media I have ever consumed. I have a lot more reasons why it resonates with me so much, but I’ll keep them.

He’s quite verbal in the show so it’s possible he’s thinking aloud/out loud?

If you’ve ever seen Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch, it reminds me of that. The way he explains his deductions aloud.

for whatever reason, i couldnt get myself to watch the sherlock or young girl sherlock shows. seemed too colorful and kiddish or something

edit: i know what it is. their outfits. 8 hate fashion and typically avoid stuff where people look like they are dressed like rich assholes lol

so no downtown abbey, bridgeton etc

when people ask me what house i would be in game of thrones, i say Freefolk (cause fuck kneeling. and Wildling is a derogatory term for the Freefolk)

with that said, im watching The Gilded Age and enjoying it. so it makes me wonder if i might enjoy other shows with fancing dressing bastids

I can’t recommend young girl Holmes because I didn’t think it was that good. I like Henry Cavill but he’s a little too buff to be my Sherlock.
Sherlock with Benedict on the other hand?

Not every episode was great but the ones that were great made up for the misses imo

The way they narrate and break the fourth wall definitely does come off silly and kiddish and yes they do dress quite fancy so for those reasons as well I can’t recommend Enola Holmes (had to look it up). Spoiler alert Sherlock is fashionable as well but modern.

I probably am fairly alone but I liked Enola Holmes. I do think it’s too fashionable for him.

im 3 episodes in

all 6 challenges so far have been about strength. do they ever have any puzzles, skills, or endurance challenges ?
Australian Survivor is much more muscle oriented in the challenges. American Survivor is much more physical challenge stage --> difficult puzzle. As it should be.

I still like Australian Survivor better, though. They just seem to play hard, be comical and get less butthurt when they lose.

Yes but they cast a giant rather than a Tom Cruise

The books make reacher out to be a huge guy at 6'5" and all muscle. His physicality is prominent in all the booksI read (I haven't read them for a decade). That's a good change.

Alan is only 6'2", but he is a bulky, sexy behemoth. Thick. Solid. Tight.
