A Netflix original documentary called the tinder swindler. Being that Netflix is essentially the B movie channel of the streaming networks now this was really unexpectedly good.

Desolation Canyon 3.88/10

A roaring western buddy film starring Stacy Keach and Patrick Duffy. It was better than I thought it would be. Keach and Duffy really show their acting prowess but the supporting cast was awful and so was the writing.

It was fuckin’ dumb.

2 episodes of reacher so far...

they have taken a decent book, and made a solid adaptation out of it so far

good mix of badassness with occaisonal humor. and hidden meanings in wordplay so as to entertain book readers as well as to give value to a rewatch

Army of thieves
6/10

Has like two good characters in the crew starts off very well in the first half but the second half is half assed and feels like more of a B movie it is written worse and feels lower on budget maybe the money was running out.a lot of wasted potential in this film.

Love and a .45

Entertaining low budget film that could have been better with a bigger budget. Last time rene zellweger was attractive too.

Bourne Identity.
Gf had never seen.

Halfway through she says, "When did they both get new wardrobes? Did they forget to film the clothes shopping montage?"

“Deep Water” with Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas on Hulu. It was interesting. It wasn’t amazing, but I liked it far more than I thought I would. Some parts were dark and intriguing, others were underdeveloped and overly-convenient. I don’t regret watching it and there were boobs so: 6.5/10

Got round to watching Jackass Forever. I was worried that it would be a let down given that none of them are exactly spring chickens. I was very pleasantly surprised, they have a mix of the old guard and some young blood in there and the stunts lived up to the hype.

Francis Ngannou punching Ehren in the balls full force made me cross my legs in sympathy!

I was also grossed out, howled laughing and was all "WTF???" at different times, just like I should be watching a Jackass movie.

9/10 would recommend.

Took my son to see Sonic 2 tonight... I really enjoyed it. 7.5-8/10

We are seeing Fantastic Beasts next week and the cartoon movie The Bad Guys the week after... It is a busy movie month for us! I signed us both up for Regal Unlimited since it was cheaper than paying for three movies... He had a few movies he wanted to see in June and July, but I don't think I see myself keeping the subscriptions. I will probably just subscribe again the next time we are seeing more than two movies in the month.

Was excellent. I can't add to your review apart from say the film gad the feel of the early jackass TV shows and film. There was a real sense of mates fucking about. No sinister, random violent attacks that would get you in front of a judge of the cameras weren't rolling.

And its because they ditched that nasty cunt Bam. A Vile character and about as funny as Tom Green.

Saw Everything Everywhere All at Once this weekend and it's maybe one of the best films I've ever seen. No cap, as the kids say.

Watched both Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick.

PB is a classic. Simple characters; an anti-hero, a pilot, a bounty hunter, and "a girl everyone else thought was a boy". There's a nice ticking clock element, leading to a heroic sacrifice as redemption for the pilot. I love scifi, and this is mostly a slow burn, which is great. 8/10

Chronicals... more complicated. Over-ambitious. Needed about ten minutes of exposition and a few scenes that were probably filmed but didn't make the edit.

There's some good stuff, nice touches, some attention to detail.
The green screen and CG effects in general still look good. There's a CG dog-cat monster thing released by some bad guys, and it hunts Riddick. They drew in an ear tag on it. Totally unnecessary, but great touch.

Tries to shoehorn in a ton of back story, not all successfully, even when it's Judi Dench dropping the exposition bombs.

The kid from the first film is shoehorned into Chronicles, to give the story an emotional core.
Instead of a realistically aged actress, they hired a sexy replacement. She was fine, but the change was big from PB. You don't see her character becoming a sexy murderbot.

There are a few "Wut?" story moments. The ending is kind of rushed. There's some forced emotional growth that doesn't seem more than contrived.

Flawed but still pretty worthwhile.

The Chronicles of Riddick should be renamed "The Ridiculous Chronicles".

I know I'm supposed to suspend my disbelief a bit during movies, but the scenes where the sun rising causes the planet to basically catch fire where it touches completely ignored any known laws of physics. The way someon can be totally fine in a bit of shade, but literally burn to ash in seconds out in the sunlight, pushed my bullshit-o-meter to breaking point.

There is a third movie just called Riddick by the way, if you liked both of the others then it's definitely worth a watch. I rate it as better than the second, but not as good as the original.
