It was a brilliant special and he should be proud if it drew enough wine backlash to be cancelled.
Yes. I came on here while I was watching it and said "hey watch this before it gets got"

The biggest joke of it all as that he pokes fun at the cancel culture. Says fuck it here's some career enders. And the dumb fuckers have taken the bait.

I can't decide if he's retiring or angling to get cancelled for a bigger deal on another platform.

Peacemaker is better than I expected on episode 2. John cena dancing was also a nice spectacle.

Before departing, the two get off on a tangent about Peacemaker’s huge dick. He basically says that it’s his crux to bear and the malformity makes sexual intercourse difficult because it causes pain. He also says that the kids in high school used to call him “Chimp Arm”.

i want to watch yellowstone but dont want to pay for paramount plus ill just wait until it hits netflix or hbo max or amazon prime. Hbo max seems to have the cash and foresight to buy hit shows from other services like gomorrah and rick and Morty. i think they will go after the FX shows next.

Started season 2 of The Righteous Gemstones and halfway through episode 2 as this seasons caper was about to unfold, I realized I really didn’t care. The sibling roasting and Danny McBride has gotten stale, I think his Kenny Powers shelf life has expired. Plus, no Uncle Bany Billy yet.

Also season 5 of Rick and Morty just dropped on HBOMAX. I’m a couple episodes in and it’s still awesome. Jerry singing Karaoke to the Ferris Bueller “Oh Yeah” song, lol so fucking stupid.

I hope so. So far ive given up on this season but I’ll give it another go. Him and Judy make that show. Plus, the name Uncle Baby Billy cracks me up and his chic with the fucked up teeth ?. Maybe I did give up too quick. It doesn’t help that I don’t really find Eric Andre that funny, aside from his talk show.
The fucking Little Mermaid wedding at Disney was pretty goddamn funny though.

The Little Mermaid was always my favorite Disney movie growing up so that made me laugh so much.
I think Danny’s storyline is gonna be the most boring of all this season, but I’m really interested in Eli’s. John Goodman, RIP, is still killing the game.
Uncle Baby Billy is widely accepted as the best part of the show because Walton Goggins steals the show in anything he’s in. His character was the my favorite in Vice Principals, and I loved that whole show.
I like Kelvin and Keef‘s whole thing, though. And I’m sure it’s definitely not for everyone.

Eli’s backstory is definitely interesting especially with the return of Eric Roberts. I agree Walter Scoggins was incredible in Vice Principals, he stole the show much like Stevie in Wast Bound and down.

I think Jesse and Kelvin are the weakest links, especially Kelvin. He’s just meh 80% of the time.

I suppose it’s worth another go.

I didn't pay attention to the previous thread, so I've no idea whether it was mentioned there, but I've just finished watching a cartoon series called Invincible, which was originally on Amazon Prime video. I remember someone mentioning it back last year, and decided to give it a go.

It's a superhero story inspired by a comic book of the same name. I nearly gave up on it half way through the first episode, as it seemed to be very much your standard superhero fare that had been done many times before, and was wondering why it had been recommended to me. I was thinking it was meant for kids. I carried on watching through to the end of that first episode though, and the story took a very interesting turn. That piqued my interest and I have now watched the entire series (8 episodes) over the last week.

I won't post any spoilers of the story at all, but I will tell what distinguishes Invincible from other superhero tales (such as the MCU movies). It's not afraid to show the (sometimes terrible) consequences of being a superpowered character fighting crime.

For an example of what I mean I will first show a clip from one of The Avengers movies, where Iron Man uses the Hulkbuster suit to fight the Hulk. (If the clip doesn't embed, click "watch on YouTube" and skip to the 3 minute mark).

View: https://youtu.be/FdWJ-Njeaig?t=180

tl;dw - Iron Man is flying through the air holding onto Hulk, and needs to try to KO him. He spots a skyscraper under construction and there is a quick shot of the scanners on his suit somehow determining that there are no people in the building whatsoever. He then flies above the skyscraper and then dives into it, driving Hulk down through the building. The skyscraper is shown to collapse entirely into it's own footprint, leaving the viewer assured that no-one was hurt.

Even when civilian death is mentioned in the MCU, it generally occurs off-screen and humour is often used to lighten the tone, as in this clip. (Again, if it doesn't embed skip to the 12 second mark).

View: https://youtu.be/EDTYHyie6aQ?t=12

tl;dw - Bruce Banner is talking about Loki and states that he's insane.

Thor: "Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he's my brother."

Black Widow: "He killed eighty people in two days."

Thor: "He's adopted."

The way that this kind of thing is handled in Invincible is very different. If for example there had been a similar scene with two superpowered beings destroying a skyscraper, even if the building itself was deserted at the time, falling masonry or construction cranes would have been shown to land on innocent civilians, causing carnage. Often times the heroes have to witness the horrific scenes of gore as people get caught up in the fighting, and find that they can't always save the day.

I'll not say any more about it, overall I give the first series 8/10 and recommend it for those who enjoy the superhero genre.

When searching for the series, I googled it and it autofilled to "watch Invincible online for free" as soon as I got to "watch invi". One of the top results was a site that has an enormous catalogue of cartoons and anime available. I'm fairly sure that it's not actually approved by those who own the rights to these things, so I'll not post it on an open thread. If you're interested just PM me and I'll send the link.

Invincible was great.

I didn't read your post because I didn't want to die of old age, but I'll say this, the show shifts towards the end of the first episode, after that it's great.
